At Deloitte, the Talent Business Advisor (TBA) team partners with the Business Leaders of a function or service to craft, execute and drive the delivery of the firm’s Talent strategy. You
will play a key role in helping business drive performance, develop talent and retain key talent. You would work on initiatives like succession planning, performance management, compensation planning etc. among the many activities you will be a part of. You are expected to work with the business to drive solutions to core business problems from a Talent standpoint.
What You Will Do:
The TBA is responsible for partnering with the business leaders/ people leaders in a particular service area, service line, region, industry and / or enabling area to craft, execute and drive the delivery of the Talent strategy. As the TBA assigned to leaders they will serve as the single point of contact for all Talent related initiatives and activities. This individual will provide strategic and consultative Talent services to leaders while managing the overall delivery of Talent services from the TBA organization. The TBA will identify and counsel the business on Talent issues that affect the success of the business and how Talent can help drive business performance. Furthermore, this individual will help to develop and retain critical talent and will build a reputation as a trusted advisor.
▪The TBA works as a strategic advisor at the intersection of Business and Talent strategy to drive business outcomes as mentioned below :-
o Partners closely with business leaders to define the business strategy providing insights on talent and workplace implications.
o Provides enhanced advisory services on workforce strategies and initiatives while continuing to provide direction on talent-related issues.
o Works strategically with business to identify and deploy creative talent solutions to address business challenges.
o Collaborates with the business and other talent channels to deliver talent programs and services to enhance the talent experience.
o Collaborate with the COEs and Core Talent Services to develop solutions that seamlessly address key business issues.
o Work with business leaders and business communications team to establish regular cadence/calendar of talent communications and collaborate with the Strategy and Communication COE to determine the strategy for providing key messaging to the business.
▪ Strategic Advising & Coaching
o Advises and partners with Business Leaders and People Leaders on talent-related issues.
o Leverages expertise to address business challenges and bring the right talent solutions to drive business outcomes.
o Provides insights that will enable the business to make talent-related decisions.
o Coaches Business Leaders and People Leaders to address highly critical employee issues
o Works with Business Leaders and People Leaders one-on-one and provides advice on best practices for leading teams and professionals.
▪Delivery of Talent Lifecycle Processes
o Facilitates collaboration with various teams to effectively deliver lifecycle processes (i.e., To align compensation / rewards to the business strategies / industries and collaborate with the Total Rewards COE on compensation scenarios and year-end compensation activities)
o Collaborate with the various COEs on Talent initiatives that impact the business (e.g. Diversity and Inclusion, Global Mobility, Development, Alumni Relations)
o Identify, evaluate and manage Talent risks that may arise and collaborate with Talent Risk & Relation Matters as appropriate to mitigate issues
o Partners with Business Leaders and People Leaders on the execution of strategic talent-related initiatives (i.e., succession planning)
o Provides input on the design of key talent processes based on evolving business needs.
o Partner with the business and USI Performance Management to plan for and drive the annual performance management process (including all RPM communication, talent reviews and performance management reviews).
o Leads Business leaders through Talent survey action planning.
o Enable organizational changes including growth, M&A, divestitures and process change, whenever required.
▪ Talent & Workplace (T&W) Sensing
o Evaluates the effectiveness of talent practices, policies and programs on business goals and plans.
o Detects gaps and areas of improvement in the organization ecosystem and brings together the “right” Talent teams, Business Leaders, and People Leaders to address.
o Identifies internal and external marketplace trends to improve talent insights and drive new and creative talent solutions.
The team
The U.S. India Talent team offers HR solutions by tapping into the different aspects of HR policies, to ensure every professional’s engagement with the organization is meaningful. It is structured into five major organizations: Talent Acquisition, Talent Delivery, Talent Development, Talent Specialties and Talent Operations. As part of these, Talent professionals work with our business leaders to develop, implement and execute successful recruiting programs, learning and development initiatives, strategic performance management and deployment assignments, health and wellness programs and effective reporting and analytics.
Qualifications:
Required
Education: MBA or Equivalent Degree Experience: 10 to 12 Years
Location: Hyderabad Timing: 11 AM – 8 PM
Skills:
• 10-12 years of overall experience with strong presentation, communication and relationship building skills
• Experience dealing with senior executives in a large matrixed organization
• Essential to be able to gain consensus and support for efforts across disparate groups, lead stakeholders to a common goal
• Team-oriented individual with proven ability to manage multiple projects at once
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Project management experience
• Ability to analyze data and make sound observations and recommendations
