Position Summary

Level: Senior Consultant or equivalent

As a Senior Consultant at Deloitte Consulting Services, you will design, develop, and deploy enterprise-scale software solutions, lead the creation of robust pipelines and manage code deployment across environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional, global teams to translate functional requirements into effective deliverables, independently guiding and mentoring junior team members. Your role spans the full project lifecycle, including estimation, planning, execution, and tracking key metrics for analysis, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of solutions.

Work you’ll do:

As part of the team, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to collect, analyze, and interpret critical market data for investment banking, trading, and risk management initiatives. You will leverage advanced analytical tools and programming techniques to develop data-driven insights that inform business decisions, optimize trading strategies, and support regulatory compliance. Your work will involve sourcing and validating market, reference, and transactional data from a variety of internal and external platforms, ensuring data quality and integrity, and creating dashboards and reports that translate complex datasets into actionable intelligence for our clients and teams. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development and enhancement of data architectures and processes, staying up to date on industry trends, and helping Deloitte’s clients navigate evolving capital markets environments.

Qualifications

Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant industry experience with a financial services consulting organization or a large bank or a broker-dealer or investment management firm or GCC (Global Capability Centres) of these financial services firms.
  • CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or FRM (Financial Risk Manager) certification.
  • Experience of working on Request for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Prior external or internal consulting experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Management or similar fields.
  • Master’s degree in finance, Business Analytics, IT, or Master of Business Administration (MBA) is preferred.
  • Experience of Capital Markets data sets (e.g., Market Data, Pricing Data, Reference Data, Trade/Transaction Data) across the trade life cycle and broker-dealer processes.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Capital Markets data processes across asset classes, exchanges and market data sources, including understanding of data feeds, mapping, and regulatory fields.
  • Experience of executing data management strategies (Data Architecture, Data Lakes/Warehouses, Data Integration, Data Quality, and Stewardship) specific to Capital Markets operations.
  • Experience of working or a good knowledge of regulations, pertaining to the U.S. or International Banking or Capital Markets or Broker Dealer Operations (e.g. SEC, FINRA, DOL, FCA, and CFTC).
  • Experience in driving large transformation/implementation and expertise in all aspects of requirement gathering, data analysis, and gap analysis including analyzing requirements and breaking them down into actionable functional specifications, converting business requirements into test cases and coordinating testing.
  • Hands-on experience of SQL and Python for manipulation, analysis, and automation of Capital Markets data and related business processes.
  • Experience of collaborating effectively with business, technology, and operations teams, fostering alignment across projects, while efficiently documenting findings and project outcomes.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, stakeholder management and presentation skills to navigate through complex business scenarios and recommend effective mitigation strategies and action plans.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to articulate complex financial information and proficiency in documenting findings and effectively communicating risk and control issues to stakeholders.
  • Flexible and dynamic in nature and able to turn around work quickly.

Good to Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

  • Well-versed with managing large teams and processes.
  • Experience of developing, optimizing and presenting dashboards, visualizations, and reports using industry-leading tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) or GenAI/Agentic AI is desirable.
  • Exposure to major market data vendors (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, ICE) or in-house data platforms is desirable.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Management or similar fields.
  • Master’s degree in finance, Business Analytics, IT, or Master of Business Administration (MBA) is preferred.
