Work you'll do
As a Consultant on the Cyber Operate team, you will be responsible for:
- Providing architecture analysis, design, implementation, and operational support for enterprise firewall environments, with a primary focus on Palo Alto firewalls
- Troubleshooting complex firewall, routing, Network Address Translation (NAT), Virtual Private Network (VPN), and network connectivity issues across enterprise environments
- Administering firewall policy changes, audits, rule analysis, and governance activities to support security baselines and least-privilege access
- Supporting migrations, upgrades, high availability, and production and non-production implementations across firewall and network security environments
- Creating technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and runbooks while supporting client meetings, architecture reviews, and security assessments
- Providing level 2 and level 3 on-call support and collaborating with network, cloud, infrastructure, and security teams to maintain secure and resilient network controls

Cyber Operate team focuses on efficiently running operations by enabling automation, reducing manual effort and adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) based on the standards set by clients
Location: Bengaluru / Hyderabad / Pune / Chennai
Shift Timings: 24x7 rotational shifts, including night, weekend, holiday, and on-call coverage based on project assignment
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Security, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- 3-6 years of experience in firewall implementation, operations, engineering, and troubleshooting
- Experience with Palo Alto firewall administration, including Panorama, rule analysis, rule modification, and policy optimization
- Experience with firewall platforms such as Palo Alto Networks, Check Point, Cisco ASA or Firepower, and Fortinet
- Experience with Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) networking, including routing, switching, NAT, VPNs, and VLANs
- Experience with packet analysis, traffic flow review, and network trace analysis using packet capture tools
- Experience with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) operational processes, including change management, incident management, problem management, and configuration management
Preferred:
- Firewall certifications such as Palo Alto ACE, PCNSE, CCNP Security, CCSA or CCSE, Fortinet NSE, Cisco CyberOps Associate, or CCNA Security
- Experience with cloud firewall and hybrid network security architecture
- Experience supporting Cisco ASA to Palo Alto migration activities
- Experience with firewall rule recertification tools such as AlgoSec or FireMon
- Experience using Python, Representational State Transfer (REST) application programming interfaces, or similar tools for deployment, reporting, or configuration tasks
- Experience leading client engagements or serving in a lead technical role
