Position Summary
Level: Senior Solution Advisor
Work you’ll do:
As a Senior Solution Advisor / Microsoft 365 Security Consultant, you will be at the front lines with our clients, supporting their Cyber needs and guiding them through the journey of securing their Microsoft 365 (M365) platform. You will play a key role in helping clients transform their security environment, including migrating from third-party security tools to the Microsoft security stack.
Work You’ll Do
- Serve as a senior engineer/consultant for Microsoft security technologies: Purview, Intune, Sentinel, Security Copilot, Entra ID, SCCM, and the Defender suite (Defender for Office, Endpoints, Servers, Vulnerabilities, Cloud Apps, XDR).
- Lead transformation initiatives for clients transitioning from third-party security tools to the Microsoft security stack, ensuring seamless migration, integration, and optimization of security controls and processes.
- Conduct cloud security analysis, recommendations, and configurations for clients’ Microsoft Entra ID, Office 365 (O365), Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive for Business, and SharePoint Online environments, based on Deloitte’s Microsoft 365 Cyber Risk Framework and industry standards (NIST, CIS, CISA, PCI DSS).
- Perform technical health checks and readiness evaluations for M365 platforms/environments prior to broader deployments.
- Support proof-of-concept and production deployments of Microsoft cloud security technologies, ensuring robust protection and compliance.
- Advise clients through transitions to Microsoft 365 security services, overseeing solution setup, service configuration, and risk mitigation—including hands-on experience with MFA, Conditional Access, Purview Compliance Manager, Information Protection (MPIP), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and M365 Defender.
- Assist clients with configuration and delivery of cloud security and compliance reports, translating technical findings into actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
- Implement and advocate for industry-leading cyber risk management practices, including policy development, incident response, data protection (classification/labeling, DLP, encryption), access control, auditing, monitoring, security incident and event management, user and administrator account management, SSO, conditional access controls, and password/key management.
- Troubleshoot system-level problems in multi-vendor, multi-protocol network environments, ensuring seamless integration and operation.
- Document platform technical issues, analysis, client communication, and resolution as part of ongoing cyber risk mitigation steps.
- Execute on M365 security engagements during all phases of the lifecycle—Discover, Assess, Design, Deploy/Test, Hypercare/Handover—ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Provide internal technical training to Advisory personnel and contribute to thought leadership, including Point-of-Views (PoVs) on M365 security challenges and emerging best practices.
- Act as a subject matter expert on cloud cyber risk for Microsoft Purview, Intune, Defender, Sentinel, and related capabilities.
- Maintain a strong understanding of Microsoft licensing models (E3, E5, EMS E3, EMS E5) to ensure security solutions align with client entitlements and maximize value.
- Stay current on emerging Microsoft technologies, including Security Copilot, Defender for Vulnerabilities, Defender for Identity, and Defender XDR.

Qualifications
Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
- 7+ years of experience in technical consulting, client problem solving, architecting, and designing solutions in a consulting role.
- 7+ years of hands-on technical experience implementing and operating Microsoft 365 enterprise-level messaging, collaboration, and security services which includes:
- Entra ID (Azure AD), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Conditional Access, Microsoft Purview, Defender for Office 365, Exchange Online protection, Defender for Endpoints/Servers, Intune, SCCM, MEM, Microsoft Sentinel, Defender for Cloud, Defender for Identify, Defender for Vulnerability Management, Defender for XDR, Security Copilot, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Defender for Cloud Apps and Power Platform.
Ideally, experience with:
- Microsoft Security Copilot
- Defender for Vulnerabilities
- Defender for Identity
- Defender XDR
- SCCM
- Power Platform
Good to Have Skills/Certifications:
- Microsoft Certifications: SC-900, SC-100, SC-200, SC-300, SC-400
- Cyber Certifications: CCSP, CCSK, CISSP, CCNP, CCNA
Education:
· Btech/BA/BS/Mtech Degree preferred, ideally in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Security, Engineering, or Information Technology.
