Position Summary
Level: Lead Solution Advisor
Work you’ll do:
As a Senior Consultant, you would have to work within a team of cyber domain experts and other data scientists to conduct the following:
- Assist with the ideation and documentation of Machine Learning, statistical and /or analytic- based cybersecurity use cases
- Identify, evaluating and selecting machine learning and /or other analytic / statistical approaches to solve use case problems
- Propose technology approaches to implement machine learning use cases including choice of appropriate compute solutions, AI / ML development tools, and ML Ops tools
- Perform data ETL and feature engineering tasks to build data sets for modeling using SQL or other data processing paradigms and stream processing tools
- Construct machine learning and other analytics models and workflows using Python, Spark or other coding language
- Create visualizations for analytics outputs
- Work in cloud in cloud service environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) and develop analytics workflows leveraging cloud native services
- Support strategic investment and client delivery projects for cyber threat detection and response initiatives or other cybersecurity focused efforts leveraging analytics and Machine Learning
The Team:
Cyber Defense & Resilience teams assist clients in defending against advanced threats by transforming security operations, and by monitoring technology, data analytics, and threat intelligence. They help manage and protect dynamic attack surfaces and provide rapid crisis and cyber incident response, thereby ensuring that clients can be ready for, respond to, and recover from business disruptions. Examples of work include Operational Resilience, Crisis & Incident Response, and Security Operations Center Transformation. As part of Deloitte’s Cyber Defense & Resilience portfolio, our SecOps teams partner with clients to strengthen security operations and cyber resilience. We deliver end-to-end services—from strategic assessments and innovation workshops to implementing next-generation SIEM solutions—enabling proactive risk identification and mitigation across digital environments. Leveraging advanced analytics, AI-driven detection, and optimized data management, we provide continuous monitoring and rapid response to emerging threats. This integrated approach empowers organizations to build robust, future-ready security postures and confidently navigate an evolving cyber threat landscape.
Qualifications
Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
- Degree in Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or some other quantitative field; or, equivalent work experience in a similarly quantitative role or area
- Understanding of machine learning models with experience developing solutions or experiments leveraging supervised, unsupervised and/or semi supervised methods
- 5-7 years of experience in developing machine learning models for anomaly detection
- Experience coding in Python and Spark,
- SQL skills
- Experience or exposure to cybersecurity, security, or other risk management domains
- Good technical writer and communicator of technical content and subject matter
- Experience working in remote team arrangements.
- Experience working in a consultative and/or product delivery role a plus
- Experience/understanding of agile technology solution development
- Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure and/or GCP) and building analytics solutions leveraging cloud-native services.
- Experience developing visualizations of analytic output in static or dynamic views using BI and visualization studios such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau
- Understanding of cybersecurity use case frameworks is a plus
Education:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
