Job Title: Audit & Assurance - Senior Manager
Work you will do
As an Audit & Assurance Senior Manager, you are expected to demonstrate integrity, values, principles, and work ethics and lead by example and make a positive contribution. You will:
• Lead a team of professionals to perform internal control audits of the client’s front-office and financial applications, and procedures in conjunction with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, including functional areas such as prepaids, accruals, period end processes, and accounts payable.
• Advise clients on the design and implementation of effective internal control systems and risk mitigation strategies.
• Lead a team who performs business cycle controls and general IT general controls review / testing as part of SOX second line internal controls engagements
• Play a substantive/lead role in internal and external client relationships and communication with different stakeholders
• Demonstrate strong people management and networking skills
• Assist in recruitment and retention of professionals
• Participate in team management, business planning, and training efforts
• Demonstrate understanding and application of methodologies for SOX engagements
• Demonstrate high level of understanding of Finance business and underlying IT General Controls
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of emerging trends, regulatory developments, and industry best practices in internal controls and risk management
• Play substantive/lead role on projects, including project planning, management, managing quality, and staffing
• Focus on training the team, performance feedback, and helping to create/manage a high performing team
Qualifications
Required
• Chartered Accountant / MBA in finance/accounting with relevant certification CPA, CIA, and/or CISA
• Strong orientation toward internal control risk assessment, operational, financial reporting, controls, and IT auditing
• Experience with SOX and Internal Audit
• Advanced understanding of Health Care industry. Healthcare experience is preferred
• Demonstrate leadership, team management, problem solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels
