Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior - Release Compliance Management professional to support the Global Employer Services Technology Center (GESTC) within Deloitte Tax in India. In this role, you will help drive release compliance activities across the software lifecycle by coordinating governance approvals, tracking readiness milestones, and supporting controlled release execution. You will work with cross-functional stakeholders across product, engineering, quality, risk, privacy, cyber, legal, and business teams to help enable timely, well-documented, and audit-ready software releases. This role is suited for a professional who can manage multiple compliance workstreams, escalate risks clearly, and improve release governance processes in a global environment.

Work you'll do

As a Senior - Release Compliance Management on the Global Employer Services Technology Center team, you will be responsible for:

  • Coordinate required compliance approvals for software releases, including quality, risk, data privacy, cyber, and business governance signoffs.
  • Gather and track release documentation, control evidence, risk inputs, approval artifacts, and closure records from product domain teams and control stakeholders.
  • Support release readiness reviews, governance checkpoints, and go/no-go meetings by monitoring milestones, open issues, blockers, and mitigation plans.
  • Partner with product, engineering, quality assurance, security, privacy, operations, legal, and business teams to confirm release deliverables meet software development lifecycle control requirements.
  • Maintain compliance trackers, dashboards, and executive status reporting for approval status, risks, dependencies, decisions, and upcoming governance milestones.

The team

The Global Employer Services Technology Center (GESTC) supports technology-enabled tax operations by combining tax domain knowledge with digital, product, and delivery capabilities. The team works across a global stakeholder landscape to help design, build, govern, and support technology solutions that improve tax processes and user outcomes. Within this environment, the release compliance function helps teams navigate governance requirements while supporting timely and controlled delivery.

Location: Hyderabad

Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business
  • 5+ years of experience in a project management office, compliance project management office, technology governance, release governance, or strategy consulting environment
  • Experience using Azure DevOps, JIRA, or similar software development lifecycle tools to track milestones, approvals, risks, and dependencies
  • Experience coordinating compliance approvals across quality, risk, data privacy, cyber, engineering, quality assurance, operations, and business stakeholders
  • Experience maintaining compliance trackers, release dashboards, approval artifacts, audit evidence, and RAID logs
  • Knowledge of software secure development lifecycle governance, release readiness controls, approval checkpoints, and evidence management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint, Teams, or similar collaboration tools

Preferred:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or progress toward certification
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification or progress toward certification
  • Experience working in a regulated technology environment with formal approval gates, audit evidence requirements, and production release governance
  • Knowledge of SOC 2, International Organization for Standardization 27001 (ISO 27001), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), data privacy, cyber risk, and technology control frameworks
