Senior Software Engineer – Global Employer Services Technology Center (GESTC) - Pega, .NET & Integration
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join Deloitte Tax in India’s Global Employer Services Technology Center (GESTC). In this role, you will design, build, and support scalable enterprise applications and integrations that help enable workflow automation, platform modernization, and business process transformation. The role offers the opportunity to work across Pega, .NET, APIs, microservices, and event-driven technologies in a product-led engineering environment. Experience with AI-enabled engineering, cloud technologies, and modern workflow platforms will be viewed favorably.

Work you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Global Employer Services Technology Center (GESTC) team, you will be responsible for:

  • Design, develop, and support workflow automation solutions using Pega, including case management, business rules, and integrations
  • Build and enhance enterprise applications and services using .NET, .NET Core, C#, REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven technologies such as Kafka
  • Own technical activities for assigned modules, including estimation, design, development, code review, unit testing, deployment support, and production issue resolution
  • Troubleshoot production defects, improve application performance and stability, and support engineering, security, and continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) standards
  • Collaborate with product, architecture, and delivery teams to contribute to reusable platform components, modernization efforts, and mentoring of junior engineers

The team

The Global Employer Services Technology Center (GESTC) is the product organization responsible for the technology platforms that support Deloitte Tax’s Global Employer Services practice. The team helps enable tax, immigration, payroll, and mobility services through workflow automation, enterprise integration, and platform engineering. Professionals in this group work on technology solutions that help modernize tax operations in a global environment.

Location: Hyderabad

Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a comparable discipline
  • 8-12 years of experience in software development for enterprise applications
  • Experience with Pega platform development, including workflow, case management, business rules, and integrations
  • Experience with .NET, .NET Core, and C# development
  • Experience building integrations using REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven technologies such as Kafka
  • Experience with SQL and data design, analysis, or handling
  • Experience supporting production applications, including debugging, defect resolution, and performance optimization

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a comparable discipline
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) services and cloud-native development patterns
  • Experience with artificial intelligence-enabled engineering, data engineering, or Python-based solution development
  • Experience implementing generative artificial intelligence or agentic artificial intelligence solutions using Pega or similar technologies
  • Experience with ServiceNow, Appian, Salesforce, or other workflow or low-code platforms
  • Pega certification such as Lead System Architect (LSA) or progress toward certification
