As a Tax Consultant II on the Business Tax Services team, you will be responsible for…
- Preparing and reviewing U.S. federal, state, and international tax compliance workpapers, calculations, and returns for corporate and investment management clients.
- Supporting tax compliance engagements involving business tax returns, tax projections, and tax accounting activities.
- Performing detail-level review of tax research, regulated investment company compliance workpapers, excise tax calculations, and tax-related financial statement disclosures.
- Preparing partnership tax workpapers, allocations, and returns, and supporting research and analysis for tax planning and advisory projects.
- Coordinating with client contacts and internal teams to gather, validate, and organize information required to complete tax filings and related deliverables.

Shift Timings: 7 AM to 4 PM | 11 AM to 8 PM | 2 PM to 11 PM
Qualifications - Required:
- 8+ years of experience in US Federal Tax - Corporate, Partnership, Private Wealth, Trust, Investment Management - Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Mutual Funds, Regulated Investment Companies - Forms 1120, 1065
- Enrolled Agent or other appropriate certification (or in the process of pursuing)
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or another business-related field
- Prior Big 4 experience a plus or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of fund accounting and general ledger accounting a plus
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and communication skills to be able to articulate conclusions, planning opportunities, and risks identified through the research projects.
- Experience with managing projects including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence and billing, excellent technology (i.e., Microsoft Excel and compliance software), research and writing skills.
- A preparer tax identification number (PTIN) is required for tax returns. If you do not have a PTIN or if your PTIN is expired, you are requested to complete the new or renewal application process (as applicable) before joining Deloitte.
