Tax Consultant I - Statutory Accounting + Digital

Our International Accounting & Corporate Income Tax Services (IACTS) team is leading its clients through the tax transformation taking place in the marketplace, offering a broad range of fully integrated tax services by combining technology and tax technical resources to comply with reporting requirements, uncover insights and deploy smarter approaches for navigating an increasingly complex global environment.
Work you’ll do
· You will be responsible for preparing conversion of accounts from management GAAP (US GAAP or IFRS) to local GAAP, including the preparation of statutory financial statements, and ensuring timely and compliant filing.
· You will assist clients in delivering centralized and standardized statutory reporting packages through the usage of Deloitte specific tools (BYG, Wdesk (Workia) & Intela)
· Work on automations using the Deloitte specific tools mentioned above.
· You will coordinate with local GAAP specialists for specific Local GAAP treatments for delivery local compliant financial statements.
· You will interact with a diverse range of multinational clients, monitoring potential challenges and opportunities relevant to them.
Responsibilities:
· Being comfortable working in dynamic, cross-border environments, and can adapt quickly to changing regulatory frameworks
· Your communication skills should enable you to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and clients across multiple countries.
· Demonstrate general tax awareness and the ability to assess tax issues while performing statutory accounting work.
· Having a critical and analytical mindset, with US GAAP/IFRS and any European GAAP.
· Through your work with our diverse Belgian teams, you’ll get an opportunity to build your confidence and understanding of the critical importance of reporting.
· You will perform in-depth analysis of journals, trial balance, reconciliation & other financial data. Eventually, you’ll grow in a more senior role taking on other tasks such as review work.
· Workiva implementation: Help the team in implementation of Wdesk for client setup based on the requirements.
Technology:
· Proficiency in reporting tools: Demonstrate hands-on experience with GAAP conversion and financial statements reporting tools such as Workiva, Thomson Reuters, CaseWare, and similar platforms. Level II Workiva GSR certification is preferred and knowledge of API and connectors.
· Data Management: Efficiently manage and process financial data using advanced Wdata functions and other data analysis software.
· Design and Build Solutions: Identify ways to improve efficiency of existing business processes and translate these into digital solutions.
· Training: during workshops train clients to effectively use Deloitte’s applications and tools.
· Automation and Efficiency: Leverage technology to automate routine tasks and enhance the efficiency of financial statements reporting processes.

Essentials
· Understand that business insights gained from financial reporting drive better decision making.
· Analytical ability to analyse and possess problem-solving aptitude to provide insights.
· Ability to work both independently and as part of team with professionals at all levels.
· Hold a master’s or bachelor’s degree in economics, accountancy, or another financial orientation., MBA Finance/ PGDBM Finance/, CPT / CA Inter with 3 years Articleship experience.
· Workiva GSR Level II certification is preferred.
· Knowledge of financial reporting tools such as Workiva, Thomson Reuters, CaseWare, and similar platforms.
· Fluency in English language.
· French and Dutch language skills (optional – but preferred)
· Aptitude for learning technology
· Attention to detail & critical mindset for self-review of work.
Work Location: Hyderabad
Shift Timing: 11.00 am to 8.00 pm IST
