Position Summary

We are seeking a Tax Consultant I to join Deloitte Tax Services India Private Limited’s Global Employer Services Technology Center (GESTC). In this role, you will support global mobility technology solutions that help enable business growth and deliver efficient, technology-enabled services. The role is well suited for a professional with experience in application support, software development life cycle activities, requirements documentation, and testing. You will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to help improve system performance, user experience, and operational effectiveness.

Work you'll do

As a Tax Consultant I on the Global Employer Services Technology Center (GESTC) team, you will be responsible for:

  • Participating in requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders and end users to document requirements for data capture, functionality, reporting, analysis, and training
  • Translating business requirements into system updates by evaluating functionality, assessing impacts to existing releases, and supporting change implementation
  • Identifying, documenting, and tracking system defects, gaps, and enhancement opportunities, and recommending solution options
  • Supporting process mapping, workflow documentation, and the creation of frequently asked questions and online help materials
  • Assisting with system integration testing and user acceptance testing, including development of positive and negative test scenarios and resolution of issues through a ticketing or call tracking process

Deloitte Tax in India supports the tax transformation taking place across the marketplace by combining technology capabilities with tax technical knowledge to deliver integrated solutions. Within this environment, the Global Employer Services practice helps organizations respond to a complex global talent landscape, evolving compliance requirements, and changing workforce models.

The Global Employer Services Technology team is a global organization that develops and supports technology-enabled solutions for mobility, reward, and compliance services. The team offers the opportunity to work on innovative products and contribute to scalable solutions that support client and business needs.

Location: Hyderabad

Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM or 2 PM to 11 PM

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Technology (BTech)
  • 1-2 years of experience supporting applications or systems
  • Experience with software development life cycle activities, including requirements gathering, documentation, testing, and support
  • Experience with system integration testing and user acceptance testing, including test scenario and test case development
  • Advanced proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • Experience working with web services, Representational State Transfer (REST) application programming interfaces, SOAP UI, and service call error troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Preferred:

  • SDLC certification
  • Experience with process mapping and workflow documentation
  • Experience documenting knowledge articles, FAQs, or online help content
  • Experience managing and resolving issues through a call tracking or ticketing system
  • Experience with PL/SQL
