As a Services Associate, Firm Risk, Compliance, and Governance Services on the Risk & Brand Protection team, you will be responsible for:

• Developing working knowledge of Deloitte U.S. Firms’ independence policies
• Performing personal independence audits by reviewing submitted materials for compliance with firm requirements
• Identifying financial interests, researching findings, and documenting audit procedures and potential policy violations
• Interacting with auditees and coordinating with USI and U.S. team members on audit matters
• Managing multiple audits simultaneously, tracking progress, and reporting issues to management

The team

The Risk & Brand Protection group is responsible for strategic, confidential and regulatory driven operations which include assurance of the independence of the firm and its partners, principals, directors and professionals, apart from a host of other compliances of professionals of the U.S. and US India (‘USI’) offices.

Location: Hyderabad

Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM or 2 PM to 11 PM IST

Qualifications

Required:

• Intermediate examinations of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India passed
• Successful completion of three years’ articleship
• Experience reviewing audit materials for compliance with policy requirements
• Knowledge of U.S. income tax returns
• Knowledge of financial instruments and their impact on independence assessments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel

Preferred:

• Experience supporting compliance audits or independence reviews
• Experience documenting audit procedures, findings, and conclusions
• Experience researching financial interests using databases and online sources
