Work you'll do
As a Specialist Manager, Technical Project and Program Management on the Project Specialist team, you will be responsible for:
- Lead project management reporting, schedules, health indicators, resource planning, and forecasting for large projects and programs.
- Manage core delivery artifacts including status reports, risk and issue tracking, allocation reports, capacity plans, and backup coverage plans.
- Partner with onsite leads to identify skill and resource gaps, support staffing decisions, develop job descriptions, and participate in candidate selection.
- Guide team members on Deloitte methods, tools, technical support needs, training, and performance feedback processes.
- Raise project risks, issues, and delivery concerns in a timely manner and recommend actions to improve execution, adoption of methods, and overall team effectiveness.
The team
The Project Specialist Team is a client facing team specializing in Program and Project Management working across technology and business transformation projects. The team collaborates with other practices in the business to achieve successful set up and execution of Projects by leveraging best practices, standards, methods and tools to promote high impact value.
The leadership team is located in Toronto with team members residing across Canada serving clients across various time zones.
Location: Hyderabad
Shift Timings: 2 PM to 11 PM
Qualifications
Required:
- 9-11 years of hands-on project management and implementation experience in waterfall or agile delivery environments
- 4-6 years of consulting delivery experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience using Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
- Experience managing project reporting, schedules, risk metrics, resource planning, and project forecasts for large projects or programs
- Experience with Agile techniques including sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint review, and retrospective
- Experience delivering business transformation or technology enablement projects
Preferred:
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), CSPM, or progress toward project management certification
- Experience with risk management and quality management practices in waterfall and agile delivery
- Experience communicating project status to stakeholders across multiple levels
- Experience with resource allocation, capacity planning, and team utilization management
- Experience supporting team training, hiring, or performance management activities
