Services Support Associate I, US Payroll (Data Submissions)

Work you'll do
As a Services Support Associate I, Payroll on the Payroll and Personnel Solutions team, you will be responsible for:
- Resolving payroll inquiries from employees and HR using established payroll processes and systems
- Compiling and processing one-time payments, deductions, bonuses, loans, and recruit advances
- Validating employee data through SAP reports, variance monitoring, and correction follow-up
- Coordinating payroll activities related to social security number corrections, direct deposit rejections, off-cycle requests, employee loans, and year-end forms
- Maintaining process documentation, supporting scheduled payroll activities, and ensuring compliance with personally identifiable information (PII) guidelines
The team
This position is a part of Deloitte Support Services India Pvt Ltd, within the Financial Services Group – Payroll and Personnel Solutions service line. For the U.S. paying activities, the team is a key contributor and helps paying over 83,000 Deloitte U.S. professionals correctly each biweekly.
Location: Hyderabad
Shift Timings: 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Qualifications
Required:
- Any graduate, preferably in Finance
- 0-2 years of experience in payroll, finance operations, or shared services support
- Experience using Microsoft Excel for data review, validation, and reporting
- Experience using SAP Human Resources (HR) systems, payroll systems, or accounting applications
- Experience supporting payroll processing, employee data validation, or management reporting
- Typing speed of 30-40 words per minute with data entry capability of 4,000 keystrokes per hour and an error rate of 5% or less
Preferred:
- Experience resolving payroll inquiries from employees or HR
- Experience processing one-time payments, deductions, bonuses, loans, or off-cycle payroll items
- Experience maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Experience working with employee data privacy or PII requirements
- Experience coordinating with HR operations or payroll support teams
