Work you'll do
As a Consultant, Standardized Strategic Support Services on the Global Strategic Insights Center (GSIC) team, you will be responsible for:
- Delivering strategic insights on defense and security market and client priorities, including growth strategies, competition, innovation, industry disruptions, alliances, and ecosystems
- Applying established research tools and methodologies to develop consultative research solutions
- Synthesizing information from multiple sources into clear, structured narratives and insights for internal stakeholders
- Collaborating with global colleagues to align on project scope, expectations, and deliverables
- Managing project delivery in line with quality standards, timelines, and team requirements
- Supporting team initiatives and mentoring new team members

Global Strategic Insights Center (GSIC) provides research and program management solutions to global Deloitte Member Firms in support of pursuit, business development, practice development, and client engagements. The team uses exclusive sources, specialized research skills, and industry expertise to develop insightful research reports delivering significant value to their customers across Deloitte’s global network. Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM
Qualifications
Required:
- Postgraduate degree
- 4-6 years of experience in research, market intelligence, business insights, or strategic insights
- 2+ years of experience supporting defense and security-focused research
- Experience analyzing defense budgets, procurement, supply chains, national security, homeland security, justice, or aerospace and defense topics
- Experience using secondary research sources such as government budget documents, procurement tools, national statistical databases, or RAND
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience developing written deliverables, presentations, or insight reports for business stakeholders
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in economics or public policy
- Experience supporting senior leadership or client service stakeholders
- Experience with storyboarding, visualization, or executive-level presentation development
- Exposure to generative artificial intelligence tools or prompt engineering
