This role is responsible for all aspects of application packaging on a Microsoft Windows Laptop platform producing both standard MSI packages and also virtualized packages using technologies such as Microsoft App-V. Packages will be delivered through either automated build processes or Microsoft System Center Configuration Management (SCCM). This incumbent is responsible for assisting in the creation and maintenance of application packaging standards and the build, test and publishing of application packages.
Work you'll do
As an Associate Services Specialist I, IT Services on the End User Technology team, you will be responsible for:
- Packaging and testing applications for Windows-based laptop environments using MSI and virtual application packaging technologies.
- Supporting software deployment activities through Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and automated build processes.
- Performing packaging activities in line with established standards, including ICE validation, conflict analysis, unit testing, and release readiness checks.
- Troubleshooting installer and deployment issues and working with service consumers, business teams, and IT teams to resolve them.
- Contributing to operational documentation, process improvements, and knowledge sharing across the team, including support for onboarding and training activities.

The End User Technology team supports the packaging, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise applications used across the organization. The team works closely with technology, support, and business stakeholders to help deliver reliable end-user solutions and maintain consistent application standards. Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline; alternatively, equivalent industry experience.
- 3+ years of experience in application packaging for Microsoft Windows environments.
- Experience creating, testing, and publishing MSI packages.
- Experience using Microsoft App-V for virtual application packaging.
- Experience using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for software deployment.
- Experience using PowerShell, VBScript, or Batch scripting for packaging or deployment activities.
- Experience performing Windows Installer validation, conflict analysis, and unit testing.
Preferred:
- Experience using InstallShield for application packaging.
- Experience using Sysinternals tools.
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- Experience contributing to process documentation and technical knowledge sharing.
