As a Lead Architect on the Deloitte Technology team, you will be responsible for…
- Define target architecture for ABAP and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) solutions, including in-app, side-by-side, and hybrid extension patterns aligned to clean core principles
- Lead solution design using SAP BTP services, including Cloud Foundry, Kyma, Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP), HANA Cloud, Integration Suite, API Management, Extension Suite, Workflow, and Mobile Services
- Drive modernization of ABAP assets using object-oriented ABAP, RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), and Core Data Services (CDS), including guidance on refactoring and reimplementation approaches
- Design integration, security, and governance patterns across hybrid SAP landscapes, including application programming interfaces (APIs), authentication, authorization, monitoring, and data protection
- Lead architecture workshops, proof of concepts, and delivery enablement activities, including architecture decision records, DevOps strategy, and release governance for ABAP and BTP artifacts

Qualifications
Required:
- 8+ years of experience in SAP development
- 3-5 years of experience in architecture or technical lead roles
- Experience with object-oriented ABAP, RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), Core Data Services (CDS), and S/4HANA custom code remediation
- Experience designing and delivering solutions on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), including Cloud Foundry, Kyma, CAP, HANA Cloud, Integration Suite, API Management, and Extension Suite
- Experience designing integration patterns using OData, Representational State Transfer (REST), Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP), and Intermediate Document (IDoc), where applicable
- Experience defining security and governance approaches across hybrid SAP landscapes, including OAuth 2.0, SAML, and XSUAA
- Experience with Git, continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines, automated testing, and release orchestration for SAP applications
Preferred:
- SAP certifications in ABAP, S/4HANA, or SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
- Experience with SAP Cloud SDK, UI5, Fiori, Node.js, Java microservices, and observability tooling
- Experience supporting SAP Joule pilots or SAP Build governance programs
