Specialist Assistant Manager, Data Engineering
The SAP XSA (SAP HANA Extended Application Services, Advanced Model) Developer at the Assistant Manager level with 7+ years of experience to lead design and delivery of cloud-native applications on SAP HANA XSA / SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). This role blends hands-on development with technical leadership, delivery governance, and stakeholder management.
This role partners closely with the Manager and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions on SAP HANA, supporting integration via SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS) and analytics consumption through SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
Work you'll do
As a Specialist Assistant Manager, Data Engineering on the Data Engineering team, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and developing SAP HANA XSA-native components, including multi-target application (MTA) projects, HDI containers, service bindings, modules, and routes
- Building and maintaining SAP HANA data models and artifacts, including calculation views and SQLScript objects, with a focus on performance and security
- Developing microservices and application programming interfaces (APIs) using Node.js or Java and integrating SAP and non-SAP systems
- Implementing continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and supporting release and environment management for XSA and MTA deployments
- Collaborating with architects, functional teams, and stakeholders to estimate, plan, troubleshoot, and deliver scalable technical solutions
- Mentoring team members, supporting work allocation, and driving engineering standards across code review, testing, documentation, and quality controls

Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM
Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in SAP application development
- Experience with SAP HANA Extended Application Services, Advanced Model (XSA) and SAP HANA native development
- Experience developing multi-target application (MTA) projects, HDI containers, service bindings, and routes
- Experience building SAP HANA data models, including calculation views, using Structured Query Language (SQL) and SQLScript
- Experience developing microservices or APIs using Node.js or Java
- Experience with Git and build and deployment automation tools
- Experience implementing SAP HANA security roles, privileges, and data access controls
Preferred:
- Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
- Experience integrating data using SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS)
- Experience supporting analytics solutions consumed through SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab
- Experience with OAuth 2.0, JSON Web Token (JWT), or Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML)
- Experience leading modules or workstreams in enterprise SAP delivery environments
