Finance Operate – Implementation Specialist – Senior Consultant
Role Description
Join our rapidly growing team as an Implementation Senior Consultant focused on deploying proprietary software products for clients in the Financial Services industry, including Banking and Investment Management. In this role, you will work directly with clients and internal teams to deliver technology solutions that streamline operations, enhance analytics, and support complex financial processes. You will play a key part in requirements gathering, system configuration, and the successful adoption of our software platforms, helping clients transform their business through technology.
Work you’ll do
As a Senior Consultant, you will work on client teams supporting our technology platforms - including onboarding new client implementations, performing data analytics, and expanding existing business features and functionality to meet client needs. You will be working with other analysts and developers to identify and address technical and non-technical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
• Helping clients streamline operations, automate tasks, and improve processes in their finance, accounting, portfolio monitoring and operations functions
• Conduct data analysis and implement client financial models leveraging industry leading and Deloitte proprietary technology.
• Facilitating use of technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design and/or implement products and services
• Gathering and analyzing client requirements, and configuring products and implementation to meet those requirements
• Conducting User Acceptance Testing of system enhancements and new applications, including initial root cause analysis of failures
• Preparing and presenting complex written and verbal materials such as reports, findings, and systems training
• The desired candidate is a team player who is passionate about learning and working with technology, finance, and alternative investments. The candidate will be detail oriented, possess strong listening, verbal/written communication skills, and able to collaborate well with others.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, or related field (or foreign equivalent)
• A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in the banking, investment management or financial services marketplace
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (proficiency with Lookups, Pivot Tables, and Array operations at a minimum) and other data analysis tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Preferred Skills
• Experience in Fund Finance (Subscription, NAV and Hybrid facilities) and/or Asset Backed Finance is preferred
• Understanding of database systems and financial technologies
• Understanding of alternative investment vehicles
• Experience improving business processes and modeling/translate financial concepts
• SQL, and/or Oracle and additional knowledge of other programming languages (e.g. Python or R) is a plus
