Critical Manufacturing – Consultant, Technical Transformation
Deloitte is seeking a Consultant, Technical Transformation to support Manufacturing Execution System (MES) transformation initiatives within its Supply Chain & Network Operations practice. In this role, you will help clients design, implement, and optimize Critical Manufacturing MES solutions to improve operational performance across complex manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate brings strong technical and functional experience across MES architecture, integrations, and deployment, along with the ability to translate business needs into scalable digital manufacturing solutions.
Work you'll do
As a Consultant, Technical Transformation on the Enterprise Performance team, you will be responsible for supporting clients through the design, implementation, and optimization of Critical Manufacturing MES solutions across manufacturing operations.
- Lead and support Critical Manufacturing MES implementations, including requirements gathering, functional design, prototyping, configuration, testing, training, and deployment.
- Serve as a technical and solution architect for manufacturing transformation initiatives spanning MES, plant systems, and enterprise integrations.
- Conduct client workshops to validate requirements, define solution design, and document future-state MES processes and data models.
- Design and develop integrations between Critical Manufacturing MES and enterprise or plant systems, including SAP, product lifecycle management, advanced planning systems, laboratory information management systems, and automation platforms.
- Collaborate with client stakeholders, plant users, and subject matter specialists to assess current-state environments and define scalable future-state solutions.
- Support practice growth through proposal development, thought leadership, and innovation in digital manufacturing and Industry 4.0-enabled MES offerings.

Location: Bengaluru / Hyderabad / Pune / Chennai
Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM or 2 PM to 11 PM IST, as per business requirements
Qualifications
Required:
- 3-6 years of experience with the Critical Manufacturing MES platform, including configuration, customization, and deployment in discrete manufacturing environments
- Experience using Critical Manufacturing MES DEE for custom development and Critical Manufacturing MES Connect for integrations
- Experience designing or supporting MES integrations using Hypertext Transfer Protocol application programming interfaces, web services, SECS/GEM, or OPC-UA
- Experience with C# .NET, JavaScript or TypeScript, SQL Server, and SQL stored procedures
- Knowledge of ISA-95 or ISA-88 standards and regulated manufacturing requirements, including GxP, GAMP, or 21 CFR Part 11
- Experience working with MES functional areas such as quality management, work-in-process tracking, dispatch management, scheduling, genealogy or traceability, or maintenance management
- Ability to travel 20-40%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
Preferred:
- Experience with cloud or Internet of Things-enabled MES reporting and intelligence solutions, including Azure or Amazon Web Services
- Experience with Mendix or other low-code platforms used in manufacturing environments
- Experience integrating MES with enterprise resource planning, product lifecycle management, laboratory information management systems, or advanced planning systems
- Experience in semiconductor, electronics, or discrete manufacturing environments
- Bachelor of Technology or Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or another engineering discipline
- Master of Computer Applications, Master of Technology, or Master of Science
