As a Senior Manager/Specialist leader at Deloitte Consulting, you will play the role of strategic architect who creates and(or) reviews enterprise grade architectures and also provides best practices for technical delivery for complex, enterprise-solutions. You will lead and guide multidisciplinary, global teams and serve as a senior mentor to managers and junior staff. You will partner closely with clients and internal stakeholders to align solution strategies with business goals, contribute to sales and proposal development, and ensure rigorous management of end-to-end project delivery, including scoping, estimation, and executive reporting for successful project outcomes.
Work you'll do
As an Associate Vice President, Architecture on the AI & Engineering team, you will be responsible for shaping enterprise artificial intelligence and generative artificial intelligence solution strategies, leading complex architecture decisions, and guiding technical delivery across large-scale transformation programs.
- Define and review enterprise architecture solutions for artificial intelligence and generative artificial intelligence platforms, ensuring alignment with business objectives, delivery standards, and enterprise technology strategies
- Lead multidisciplinary teams across architecture, engineering, data, and delivery functions to design, implement, and operationalize scalable artificial intelligence solutions for complex business processes
- Establish and apply architecture patterns for retrieval-augmented generation, agentic orchestration, tool calling, model integration, observability, and platform governance
- Guide end-to-end delivery activities including scope definition, effort estimation, risk management, executive reporting, and technical quality oversight across programs
- Contribute to business development by supporting proposals, shaping solution approaches, and presenting architecture recommendations to internal and client stakeholders

Qualifications
Required:
- 18+ years of experience in software engineering or architecture, including recent experience with artificial intelligence and generative artificial intelligence platforms in enterprise environments
- Experience designing and implementing multi-agent or workflow-based artificial intelligence solutions in production environments for business processes
- Experience defining architecture patterns for retrieval-augmented generation, agentic orchestration, function or tool calling, prompt and response schemas, guardrails, evaluation, and observability
- Experience designing end-to-end platforms spanning data ingestion, vector databases, model gateways, orchestration layers, application programming interfaces, user interfaces, monitoring, and cost controls
- Experience integrating artificial intelligence solutions with enterprise platforms such as enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management, information technology service management, or data platforms through application programming interfaces or event-based integration
- One or more certifications in Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect, or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, plus one architecture certification such as TOGAF or SABSA
- Ability to travel 30-40%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
Preferred:
- Experience with identity and access management, privacy controls, model risk controls, prompt injection defenses, and human-in-the-loop escalation in artificial intelligence solution design
- Experience with machine learning operations or large language model operations including continuous integration and continuous delivery, version governance, observability, reliability design, and cost optimization
- Experience developing reusable accelerators, reference architectures, or scalable artificial intelligence delivery assets
- Contributions to thought leadership through patents, publications, speaking engagements, or technical blogs
- Experience mentoring senior technical teams across large-scale engineering or transformation programs
- Experience applying enterprise architecture frameworks and artificial intelligence governance practices
