The team

Our Strategy practice brings together several key capabilities that will allow us to architect integrated programs that transform our clients’ businesses, including Corporate & Business Unit Strategy, Go to Market Strategy, and Capability Transformation.

Strategy professionals will serve as trusted advisors to our clients, working with them to make clear data-driven choices about where to play and how to win, in order to drive growth and enterprise value.

Work you will do:

Deloitte’s ‘Strategy’ offering helps companies address the entire range of top management challenges including pursuing new growth opportunities, developing go-to-market strategies, channel strategies, and pricing strategies.

·       Identify strategies for growth and value creation

·       Develop the appropriate business models, technology operating models, and capabilities to support their strategic vision

·       Maximize the ROI on AI and technology investments and leverage technology trends to architect future technology strategies

Required Experience and Skills

Enterprise and Growth Strategy (Consumer)

·       Following experience would be required:

o    Background / experience in one or more subsectors, including Retail, Consumer Products, Automotive, Hotels, Restaurants, and/or Airlines

o    Sound understanding of topics such as Business Strategy, Operations, Customer Loyalty Management, Pricing & Trade Promotions, Merchandising, Sales & Growth, Category Management, Franchisee Management, and/or Airline Distribution

·       Experience working across: Corporate Strategy, Go-to-market (GTM) Strategy, Market Research & Assessment, Commercial Strategy, Launch Readiness Roadmap Development, Business Model & Operating Model Assessment, Business Case Development, Market Access Strategy, Pricing and Promotion Strategy, Loyalty Strategy, Vendor Assessment within the Consumer Industry

·       Awareness of and interest in current trends shaping the Consumer sectors

·       Demonstrated ability to understand and analyze complex business problems and leverage AI-driven solutions; familiarity with AI/GenAI platforms (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) and their practical applications in a business context is strongly preferred

·       Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in corporate strategy teams and/or cross-functional roles with visibility to senior stakeholders at leading Consumer industry companies

·       Exposure to non-India geographies (preferably the US) and/or experience engaging with global stakeholders

·       Communication: Ability to conduct client interviews, facilitate workshops and training sessions, and present findings and recommendations clearly and concisely

·       Client Presence: Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and cross-functional team members

·       Analytical Thinking: Proficiency in quantitative analysis, primary and secondary research, and business case development; ability to synthesize data into actionable insights and recommendations. Strong command of analytical and productivity tools including Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, data analysis) and PowerPoint (storyboarding, executive-level presentations) is a plus

·       Structured Problem Solving: Logical, hypothesis-driven approach to problem solving with demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis

·       Delivery Excellence: Deadline-oriented and quality-focused; capable of owning end-to-end delivery of high-quality work products, managing workstreams, developing engagement plans, and mentoring junior team members

·       Collaboration: Comfortable working independently and within teams across all levels; able to prioritize effectively, manage scope changes, handle multiple assignments simultaneously, and escalate issues proactively

·       Networking: Self-starter with the ability to navigate career growth and build a strong internal and external professional network

Qualifications

Required:

·       MBA or MS from a Tier-1 institution in India or abroad

·       1–3 years of relevant post-MBA/MS experience

·       1–2 years of experience with a focus on the Consumer Industry
