Work you'll do

As a Software Engineer III on the IDT team, you will be responsible for:

  • Build dashboards and reports using Amazon QuickSight to provide actionable insights to business and technology stakeholders.
  • Integrate data from various sources using APIs (REST) and scheduled ingestion processes; ensure data refresh SLAs are met.
  • Work closely with Product Owner, Data/Engineering teams, and business partners to gather requirements and translate them into datasets, KPIs and visualizations.
  • Develop and maintain analytics data pipelines (landing, transform, curated) to support QuickSight datasets.
  • Deliver analytics solutions in an Agile environment; iterate on dashboards based on feedback and adoption metrics.
  • Partner with teams to define governance standards (certified datasets, KPI definitions, access controls) and enable self-service reporting.
  • Implement monitoring and alerting for ingestion/refresh jobs and QuickSight dataset refresh failures; continuously improve reliability and performance.
  • Perform data validation and troubleshooting (schema changes, API errors, data quality issues) and implement automation to reduce manual effort.
  • Support critical and escalated issues related to dashboards, data refreshes, permissions, and access to analytics assets.
  • Manage QuickSight assets (datasets, analyses, dashboards), including versioning, documentation, and promotion across environments.
  • Maintain and evolve analytics tooling and integrations (API connectors, transformations, governance, access controls, standards).

Location: Hyderabad/Bengaluru/Chennai/Pune

Shift Timings: 2 PM to 11 PM

Qualifications: • BE/B. Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc. (CS) degree or equivalent from accredited university  

Required:

  • 6+ years of ServiceNow implementation experience
  • Experience leading technical project teams
  • Experience with ServiceNow modules such as Information Technology Service Management, Customer Service Management, Integrated Risk Management, or Security Operations
  • Experience with ServiceNow configuration and development, including Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Flow Designer, Access Control Lists, and Script Includes
  • Experience with ServiceNow application integrations using REST or SOAP
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
  • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • 6+ years of experience in analytics/BI delivery, including dashboarding and stakeholder-facing reporting.
  • Hands-on experience building dashboards, analyses, and datasets in Amazon QuickSight (or equivalent BI tool with similar concepts).
    • Strong SQL skills and experience working with analytics query engines such as Athena/Redshift (or similar).
    • Experience integrating data via REST APIs (authentication, pagination, rate limits) and implementing reliable scheduled refresh processes.
    • Knowledge of dimensional modeling concepts (facts/dimensions), KPI definition governance, and Row-Level Security (RLS) patterns.
    • Scripting experience (Python) for data ingestion/validation and troubleshooting; automation mindset to reduce manual effort.
    • Ability to translate business questions into multi-dimensional analysis (time/product/region/customer) and clear, consumable dashboards.

Preferred:

  • Basic Cloud knowledge relevant to BI delivery (S3, IAM concepts, and how QuickSight typically connects to Athena/Redshift).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills (requirements discovery, clear updates, and effective collaboration across teams).
  • Experience with advanced QuickSight features (parameters, actions, drill-through, conditional formatting, dynamic titles).
  • Experience optimizing dashboard performance (SPICE vs direct query trade-offs, dataset sizing, visual-level performance best practices).
  • Strong dashboard UX and data storytelling skills (visual selection, layout, progressive disclosure, executive summary views).
