Position Summary

Finance Transformation

The Finance Data Modelling Design and Development Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing data models and data structures that support analytics, reporting, and AI/ML solutions. This role works closely with architects, data engineers, and business teams to deliver robust, scalable data assets.

Work you'll do

As an Analytics and Insights Engineer III on the Finance Analytics team, you will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with finance stakeholders, analysts, and data architects to translate business requirements into technical data requirements.
  • Designing, building, and optimizing conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise finance data platforms.
  • Developing and maintaining data dictionaries, metadata, data lineage documentation, and technical design artifacts.
  • Supporting data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes, including testing, deployment, and issue resolution across development and production environments.
  • Performing data model validation, quality assurance, and performance tuning to improve scalability, integrity, and analytics outcomes.

The team

Finance Analytics helps organizations use data, analytics, and modern data platforms to improve finance insights and decision-making. The team supports initiatives across data modelling, reporting, and AI/ML to help deliver scalable solutions for finance functions. Team members work closely with business, product, and engineering stakeholders to build data assets that enable analysis, planning, and operational improvement.

Location: Bengaluru / Hyderabad / Pune / Chennai

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in finance analytics, finance transformation, or data modelling within consulting or industry environments.
  • 5+ years of experience designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise data platforms.
  • Experience supporting finance processes such as financial planning and analysis, forecasting, reporting, tax, or treasury.
  • Experience with SQL and at least one data modelling tool such as ER/Studio, erwin, or PowerDesigner.
  • Experience with relational, dimensional, and NoSQL data models.
  • Experience with at least one cloud data platform such as Amazon Web Services Redshift, Microsoft Azure Synapse, Google Cloud Platform, Databricks, or Snowflake.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with Oracle EPM, Anaplan, or OneStream.
  • Experience with Power BI or Tableau.
  • Experience with API integrations.
  • Experience with Slowly Changing Dimension Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3 strategies.
  • Certification in AI/ML, analytics, Snowflake, Amazon Web Services, or Microsoft Azure.
