Position Summary

Level: Senior Consultant

As a Senior Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will design, develop, and deploy enterprise-scale software solutions, lead the creation of robust pipelines and manage code deployment across environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional, global teams to translate functional requirements into effective deliverables, independently guiding and mentoring junior team members. Your role spans the full project lifecycle, including estimation, planning, execution, and tracking key metrics for analysis, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of solutions

Work you’ll do:

A Senior DataStax Cassandra Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for the design, deployment, management, and optimization of enterprise-wide Cassandra and DataStax Enterprise (DSE) clusters. This role demands extensive experience in NoSQL database technologies, performance tuning, and collaboration with development and operations teams.

The team:

The DataStax administrator role involves setting up the cluster, optimization of the read and write data, copying data from other file systems Use technical knowledge to identify areas to improve.
Provide flexible solutions to complex business problems using our technology practices.
Collaborate closely with developers to implement requirements and provide necessary guidance.
Database backup and restore. Handling missing critical DB scenario.

Qualifications

Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Database Administrator with expertise in Cassandra (Primary skill) , Redis and Kafka(secondary skill).
Strong proficiency in database administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
In-depth knowledge of Cassandra architecture, data modeling, and query language (CQL).
Experience with Redis data structures, replication, and clustering.
Familiarity with database monitoring and management tools such as DataStax OpsCenter, Redis Enterprise Manager, and Confluent Control Center.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.

8 - 10 years of hands-on experience in in Database Administration, with at least 8+ years dedicated to DataStax Casandra Database Administration.

Good to Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

· Experience with any one of the following databases is required: Netezza, PostgreSQL, Informix, Mainframe, SQL Server, Oracle, Cosmos DB, IBM Db2 (UDB), or an Enterprise Data Warehouse.

Education:

BE / Btech /MCA M.Sc (CS) degree or equivalent from accredited university
