As a Lead Managed Services Engineer II, you will lead the delivery of infrastructure administration and managed services solutions across complex enterprise environments. You will work with cross-functional teams to support technical design, operational stability, infrastructure change execution, and service improvement initiatives

Work you’ll do:

As a Lead Managed Services Engineer II on the Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for:

  • Lead infrastructure administration and managed services delivery for enterprise environments, including planning, execution, and operational support
  • Collaborate with software engineers, architects, delivery managers, and business analysts to define technical requirements, estimates, and work plans for multiple projects
  • Design, build, test, implement, and document infrastructure changes in alignment with business, security, and operational standards
  • Support governance and service management activities, including change advisory board and production review board discussions, audit readiness, and Information Technology Infrastructure Library process execution
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure and environment issues across development, quality assurance, staging, and production environments, and coordinate resolution with onshore and offshore teams

The team

Deloitte’s Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure team delivers solutions across hybrid cloud, advanced connectivity, artificial intelligence data centers, high-performance computing, and artificial intelligence infrastructure. The team helps clients improve resiliency, optimize platform operations, and increase automation across infrastructure environments. Professionals in this practice work on infrastructure transformation, managed services delivery, and operational improvement programs that support business-critical outcomes.

Location: Chennai

Shift Timings: Rotational shifts, as per business requirements

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a technical field
  • 10+ years of experience in infrastructure administration and operations
  • Experience working with software engineers, architects, delivery managers, and business analysts to define business requirements, estimates, and work plans for enterprise projects
  • Experience designing, building, testing, implementing, and documenting infrastructure changes
  • Experience leading change management, governance reviews, or service management processes, including change advisory board or production review board activities
  • Experience troubleshooting infrastructure or environment issues across development, quality assurance, staging, and production environments
  • Experience leading teams, managing deliverables, and providing technical guidance to junior professionals

Preferred:

  • Experience with Windows or Hyper-V
  • Experience with VMware or vSphere
  • Experience with Active Directory or Exchange
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle
  • Experience with EMC or storage area network storage
  • Experience with Avamar or HP Data Protector backup tools
