Software Specialist Engineer II

We are seeking a UI/UX Generalist Lead who can contribute across the end-to-end design lifecycle, including research, interaction design, visual design, prototyping, validation, handoff, and design QA.

This role is suited for someone who can work hands-on on complex business and enterprise workflows, partner closely with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior designers while maintaining a high standard of design quality and accessibility.

A portfolio is good to have and, if shared, should demonstrate relevant case studies, problem-solving approach, end-to-end UX process, and shipped outcomes.

Work you'll do

As a Software Specialist Engineer II on the CoRe Business Solutions team, you will be responsible for:

  • Lead end-to-end UX work across discovery, research synthesis, information architecture, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, visual design, validation, handoff, and design QA
  • Design intuitive, responsive, and scalable experiences for web and enterprise applications, including complex workflows, edge cases, and multi-step user interactions
  • Translate business and user needs into practical design solutions aligned with business goals, technical feasibility, and user needs
  • Partner with project managers, developers, and business stakeholders to shape experiences, communicate design rationale, and support implementation
  • Mentor junior designers, contribute to design consistency, and improve workflows, documentation, and design-to-development handoff practices

The team

CoRe Business Solutions team offers you an opportunity to be an integral part of the Digital Customer Solutions Group. The principal focus of this group is to customize technical solutions for global Deloitte Member Firms to address a variety of business needs including marketing and communication, knowledge management, learning and development, and overall process automation.

The team uses primarily Microsoft SharePoint (on-prem and cloud) as a platform. We use various web development and automation tools/technologies (i.e. HTML, jQuery, Java Script, REST/SOAP API, JSON, Nintex, Kendo, Azure, Power Apps/Flows, and many more) within a structured delivery process to develop products that deliver significant value to our internal customers across Deloitte’s global network.

Location: Hyderabad

Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM

Qualifications

Required:

  • 8+ years of experience in UI/UX design
  • 2+ years of experience in a lead, mentoring, or team-support capacity
  • Experience owning end-to-end UX initiatives from discovery through design QA
  • Proficiency in Figma for design, prototyping, and collaboration
  • Experience designing enterprise, business, or workflow-heavy digital products
  • Working knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA and experience incorporating accessibility into discovery, design, testing, and pre-release review
  • Bachelor of Engineering (B.E./B.Tech.) or Master of Technology (M.Tech.) with 60% or 6.5 GPA and above throughout, without active backlogs

Preferred:

  • Portfolio demonstrating case studies, problem-solving approach, end-to-end UX process, and shipped outcomes
  • Experience with FigJam for workshops, ideation, and journey mapping
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite for visual design support
  • Experience applying design systems, reusable components, and consistent interaction patterns
  • Experience working in enterprise, platform, or product environments with complex workflows
  • Certifications in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or similar disciplines
