Deloitte invites you to take on a pivotal role as a Analytics Engineer solving complex business problems and building new capabilities for a multi-billion Operate business. This is not a traditional analytics engineering role. Your focus will be on rapid development of working prototypes and production pilots—building on a local or cloud PostgreSQL environment, not waiting for enterprise infrastructure approvals—developing outputs that get used in real decisions within days/weeks, not months. When solutions earn business buy-in, they will graduate to enterprise platforms.
You will support the design and delivery of analytics solutions, creating key proof cases and prototypes. This role will work closely with the Senior Analytics Engineer to build and maintain core analytics capabilities, including data ingestion, transformation, dashboard development, and data quality processes. The role requires strong execution, attention to detail, ability to prototype and iterate quickly, while effectively collaborating across teams and time zones.
Work you'll do
As a Specialist Deputy Manager, Data Engineering on the BO&I, US Operate – USI team, you will be responsible for:
- Loading and preparing structured data from sources such as CSV, Excel, and JSON for use in the analytics environment
- Building SQL transformations, joins, aggregations, and analysis-ready tables to support prototype and pilot analytics solutions
- Developing, updating, testing, and validating dashboards and reports in Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools
- Monitoring data quality, identifying issues and anomalies, and supporting traceability from source data to reporting outputs
- Documenting data sources, refresh schedules, transformation logic, metric definitions, and runbooks while maintaining version-controlled code and materials

You will join a cross-business Operate team, focused on developing / innovating key measures of business performance and building dashboards and operational reporting that inform decisions and serve as foundation for new capabilities, key to US Operate business high growth. We operate with startup-speed mindset inside a large enterprise: prototype first, document second, and scale after proving the concept works.

Qualifications
Required:
- 8+ years of experience in analytics, data analysis, analytics engineering, or data engineering roles
- Experience working with SQL and relational databases
- Experience building dashboards or reports in Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools
- Working proficiency in PostgreSQL
- Experience using Python for data processing, data manipulation, or automation
- Understanding of data modeling concepts, including fact and dimension tables
- Experience with Git or similar version control tools
Preferred:
- Experience in a management consulting or client-facing analytics environment
- Experience with dbt or similar transformation tools
- Understanding of statistics and data visualization best practices
- Knowledge of dimensional modeling concepts
