Work you’ll do
As a SharePoint On-Premises Developer in the USI TIS D&A team, you will act as the functional and technical developer for SharePoint on-premises solutions, with a strong focus on SharePoint Subscription Edition. You will maintain deep end-to-end knowledge of site architecture, permissions, content types, lists/libraries, workflows, and operational impacts.
Your role will involve close collaboration with business and IT stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into technical designs, and deliver high-quality solutions across the development lifecycle.
- Act as the functional and technical developer for SharePoint on-premises solutions, specifically SharePoint Subscription Edition
- Maintain deep end-to-end knowledge of site architecture, permissions, content types, lists/libraries, workflows, and operational impacts
- Design, build, and enhance SharePoint components using SPFx, Power Automate, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, and SharePoint Designer, aligned to enterprise standards and maintainability
- Retrieve, display, and manage SharePoint list/library data using REST APIs, ensuring reliable performance, secure access, and clean user experiences
- Translate stakeholder needs into clear technical designs and deliver independently across the full lifecycle, including requirements gathering, build, unit testing, deployment support, and documentation
- Communicate delivery status, key risks, issues, and dependencies to relevant stakeholders
- Establish and maintain delivery standards including coding patterns, configuration guidelines, reusable templates, and documentation practices to improve consistency and reduce defects
- Lead validation and testing for enhancements, including functional testing, regression checks, and workflow validation
- Partner with business and IT stakeholders to coordinate releases and minimize downtime or disruption
- Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint issues end-to-end, including workflow failures, permissions/access issues, broken automations, data/configuration defects, and UI/script issues
- Conduct root-cause analysis and implement preventative fixes for recurring issues
- Manage a structured intake and prioritization process for incidents, service requests, and enhancements, balancing urgency, business impact, and operational risk
- Identify and implement automation and optimization opportunities such as approvals, notifications, and form/process digitization to reduce manual effort and cycle time, and quantify outcomes including time saved, error reduction, and improved turnaround
- Support data integrity and reporting readiness by enforcing data standards, validating list/library structures, and monitoring quality signals such as completeness, consistency, and access controls
- Support ongoing platform stability, process improvement, and operational excellence
- Adhere to confidentiality, compliance, and organizational guidelines
- Perform any other task assigned in alignment with business requirements and team priorities

The team partners with stakeholders across business and IT to deliver scalable, reliable, and user-centric technology solutions. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, enhancement, and support of SharePoint-based solutions that drive collaboration, process efficiency, and business value.
Qualifications Required
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in SharePoint development and support
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Hands-on experience with SharePoint on-premises, preferably SharePoint Subscription Edition
- Strong experience in HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, SharePoint Designer, and REST APIs; experience in SPFx and Power Automate is good to have.
- Good understanding of SharePoint site architecture, permissions, content types, lists/libraries, workflows, and document management concepts
- Experience in end-to-end solution delivery including requirement analysis, development, testing, deployment support, and documentation
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in SharePoint workflows, permissions, scripts, automations, and configurations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with business and technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, responsiveness, and ownership mindset
- Familiarity with structured incident, service request, and enhancement management processes
- Ability to identify automation and optimization opportunities and support measurable operational improvements
- Understanding of data integrity, reporting readiness, and quality controls across SharePoint lists and libraries.
Preferred
- Experience working in large enterprise or multinational environments
- Exposure to release coordination and production support processes
- Experience establishing coding standards, reusable frameworks, and technical documentation practices
- Familiarity with governance, risk management, and enterprise support models
- Understanding of integration points across Microsoft ecosystem tools and platforms
- Shift timing: 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST.
- Work Location: Hyderabad (WFO).
