Work you’ll do
The Production Support Analyst provides L2/L3 application support with a primary focus on resolving data-related issues and responding to client inquiries. The role requires strong Microsoft SQL Server knowledge to troubleshoot data defects, validate outputs, and support stable production operations within defined service level agreements (SLAs).
In addition to work Azure/AWS DevOps support CI/CD automation, environment management for build, test, and deployment automation.

Key Responsibilities
SQL Server Production Support & Development
- Provide L2/L3 support for Microsoft SQL Server incidents: performance issues, data issue, blocking/deadlocks, job failures, connectivity, and capacity concerns.
- Develop and maintain SQL Server objects (stored procedures, views, functions), and support schema changes with proper deployment controls.
- Perform root-cause analysis (RCA), implement preventive fixes, and support monitoring/alerting.
- Support backup/restore, index/ statistics maintenance, and SQL Agent job management (in coordination with DBA standards).
· CI/CD & Automation
- Build, enhance, and maintain Azure/AWS DevOps Pipelines (YAML/classic) for build, test, and deployment automation.
- Implement automated checks (build validation, unit tests, code quality gates) and promote repeatable releases.
- Maintain versioning, artifact management, and release documentation.
· Environment Management
- Support provisioning and configuration of Dev/Test/UAT/Prod environments.
- Manage app configuration, secrets/certificates (following secure practices), and deployment parameters across environments.
- Troubleshoot deployment failures and coordinate fixes with developers and QA.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in Production support (SQL Server) and DevOps engineering, with a focus on production support.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server and RDBMS.
- Proficiency with Azure DevOps Services (Pipelines, Repos, Boards, Artifacts).
- Experience with Azure Services like Key Vault, Storage, Virtual Machines etc.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform).
- Experience in creating and maintaining YAML-based CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
- Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash.
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of source control (Git) and branching strategies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Positive attitude and a strong team player.
Preferred
- Hands on experience with production support (SQL Server, Application Insights).
- Azure certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Administrator Associate).
- Experience with monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Application Insights).
- Familiarity with service mesh concepts (not mandatory).
- Experience with GitOps mechanisms (not mandatory).
