Senior Consultant

Deloitte Tax Services India Private Limited commenced operations in June 2004. Since then, nearly all the Deloitte Tax LLP (“Deloitte Tax”) U.S. service lines have obtained support through Deloitte Tax in India. The position requires the individual to perform complex assignments, commercial and contract drafting, liaise with senior stakeholders in Deloitte Tax and in the firm, and participate in firm-wide risk mitigation processes to support the Senior Manager in Strategic Services for the Tax Transformation Office.

Work you’ll do

  • Analyze, revise, and negotiate software license agreements and various other technology and third party relationship related agreements, including negotiating commercial terms
  • Advise practitioners and risk managers of Deloitte US Tax on contract and risk related issues
  • Liaise with the Office of General Counsel, Privacy and Confidentiality, Cyber Security, Information Security and various other risk domains
  • Assist with strategic internal projects relating to internal process improvement and knowledge management
  • Draft documents and correspondence
  • Perform other functions such as contract summarizing, proofreading, redlining, and organizing and maintaining reference materials and databases
  • Familiarity with software licensing agreements, SaaS agreements, clickthrough or shrink-wrap agreements, content licensing agreements, software development agreements, and professional service agreements, is a plus

Skill

  • Individuals should be able to operate at a high level with minimum supervision, make decisions in accordance with applicable policies, procedures and guidelines of the Deloitte US Firms, and must be able to discern when attorney or supervisor involvement is necessary
  • Individuals should have excellent analytical, drafting, communication, and project management skills in a legal department or similar environment
  • Must be a self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time, prioritize matters and meet deadlines
  • Collaboration - Be able to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels.
  • Ownership – Take ownership, manage and co-ordinate activities and tasks assigned and drive to completion
  • Network - ability to chart one’s own career and build networks within the organization

Qualifications and Experience

Required: -

  • Educational qualification – LLB or MBA
  • Experience with technology agreements
  • 5+ years of paralegal or similar experience

Work Location: Hyderabad

Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM IST
