Business Technology Analyst – Global Employer Services Technology Center

Deloitte Tax Services India Private Limited (“Deloitte Tax in India”) commenced operations in June 2004. Since then, nearly all of the Deloitte Tax LLP (“Deloitte Tax”) U.S. service lines and regions have obtained support services through Deloitte Tax in India.

We are offering a unique opportunity to join our GES Technology team of ~200 professionals worldwide. This high performing, successful team creates innovative new technology products to enable GES services where you will have the platform to drive, influence and contribute to the success of our business. 

Job purpose:

The Business Technology Analyst will join a team responsible for delivering global mobility technology that are critical to the continued growth of the company.  The ideal candidate should have at least two years of experience implementing and/or supporting applications; background in the SDLC, requirements gathering, development, and documentation.  In this high-visibility role, strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. 

Key job responsibilities:

  • Participates in requirements gathering sessions with business unit and end-user, documents end-user requirements for data capture, program functions, data quality, reports and analysis, and training.
  • Acts as functional expert on internal systems including intimately understanding the functionality in the system, how to translate business requirements into system changes, and the impact of changes to previously implemented releases.
  • Identifies and documents system deficiencies and recommends solutions.
  • Process mapping and workflow creation.
  • Assist with System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing
  • Assist with developing test scenarios both positive and negative test cases for SIT and UAT.
  • Assist with documenting FAQ’s and online help type documents
  • Manage issues to resolution using our call tracking system

Educational Background: BE/BTECH


Key skills desired 

  • Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Any certifications done towards SDLC concepts
  • 1-2 years of Experience supporting Applications/Systems
  • Experience with User Acceptance Testing, Use Cases and overall testing
  • Languages: Must have – SQL (Advanced proficiency), good to have - PL/SQL
  • Experience with Web Services, REST APIs, SOAP UI and troubleshooting service call errors
  • Strong Analytics, reasoning, and critical thinking skills
  • Proficiency with Excel
