Senior Analyst – Consumer Industry Insights Specialist – CoRe Research & Insights – Deloitte Support Services India Private Limited
As a Senior Analyst within the Core Research & Insights team focused on Consumer Industry you will deliver high-impact research, analysis, and insights to support strategic decision-making across the Consumer industry sectors. You will collaborate with business leaders, subject matter experts, and client teams to identify emerging trends, assess market opportunities. This role is ideal for professionals with a passion for the Consumer sector, strong analytical capabilities, and a drive to influence business outcomes through data-driven insights.
Work You’ll Do
You will provide strategic insights to Deloitte’s senior leadership on crucial market and client priorities related to growth strategies, competition, innovation, industry disruptions, alliances, and ecosystems within the Consumer sectors. You will learn and apply established research tools and methodologies to develop consultative research solutions, suggest creative solutions to address clients’ needs, and present actionable insights for senior leadership.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
· Deliver actionable insights on Consumer Products, Retail, Food & Beverage, and eCommerce operations, focusing on growth strategies, competitive dynamics, innovation trends, regulatory changes, and industry disruptions.
· Develop consultative research solutions that anticipate client challenges and position Deloitte as a thought leader in the Consumer Industry.
· Propose and pilot creative solutions that address industry shifts—such as changing consumer behavior, supply chain transformations, and digital commerce trends, etc.,
· Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data from diverse sources, including market studies and industry benchmarking, to identify patterns, emerging trends, and actionable opportunities.
· Apply financial and strategic frameworks to craft compelling, forward-looking recommendations for senior leadership and clients.
· Ensure high-quality, timely project delivery through effective planning, stakeholder engagement, and collaboration with global teams.
· Contribute to team innovation and operational excellence through brainstorming, process improvement, and knowledge sharing. Mentor and guide new team members to accelerate sector expertise and foster a collaborative, innovative culture.
Qualifications
· Postgraduate degree (MBA or a related field) from a premier university or business school.
· 4–6 years of professional experience, including at least three years in research or consulting/professional services with significant exposure to the Consumer Industry.
· Hands-on experience in at least two Consumer sub-sectors (e.g., Retail, Consumer Products, Food & Beverage, eCommerce), demonstrating sector versatility and depth.
· Strong understanding of Consumer operating structures, business models, value chains, regulations, and KPIs.
· Exceptional business writing and communication skills, including experience in preparing reports for senior management on consumer market trends and strategic recommendations.
· Advanced storyboarding and data visualization skills, able to craft compelling narratives and present complex findings with clarity to diverse stakeholders.
· Confident presenter, able to articulate ideas effectively in client calls and deliver findings to senior leadership across multiple Consumer sectors.
· Client-service mindset with direct experience working with senior stakeholders, demonstrating the ability to build trust and support client transformation journeys.
· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, leveraging these tools for research, analysis, and impactful presentations tailored for Consumer sector clients.
· Exposure to Gen AI tools and prompt engineering is a plus, reflecting a forward-thinking approach and readiness to leverage emerging technologies in consumer intelligence and market analysis.
