Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Quality Engineer (Level 4) to drive quality engineering initiatives and deliver measurable outcomes for our clients. The ideal candidate demonstrates technical leadership, engineering craftsmanship, and a customer-centric mindset, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions through incremental and iterative approaches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Outcome-Driven Accountability:

- Apply principles of test automation versus manual testing, emphasizing “quality is automation” to meet customer needs.
- Technical Leadership and Advocacy:
- Champion quality across products, ensuring automation coverage aligns with product goals, non-functional requirements (NFRs), and quality standards.
- Minimize manual testing by focusing on requirement analysis, acceptance criteria validation, test design, automation, and traceability matrix maintenance.
- Collaborate with technical teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Engineering Craftsmanship:
- Demonstrate hands-on expertise in test design and implementation for both custom and package ServiceNow solutions.
- Create and maintain test cases, test data, traceability matrices, and automation scripts in adherence to defined standards.
- Perform functional (system, integration, smoke, regression) and non-functional (accessibility, compliance, security) testing; support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as needed.
- Continuously learn and apply new tools, techniques, and frameworks.
- Customer-Centric Engineering:
- Develop quality engineering solutions through experimentation and engagement with customers, product managers, and engineering teams.
- Proactively deliver timely and appropriate quality solutions that address customer needs.
- Incremental and Iterative Delivery:
- Embrace an action-oriented approach, favoring evidence and learning over extensive planning and documentation.
- Deliver value through incremental steps, adapting to complexity and uncertainty to produce lean, maintainable solutions.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in ServiceNow quality engineering, including test automation and manual testing.
- Demonstrated experience testing multiple ServiceNow implementations.
- Skilled in utilizing the ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF), with a track record of automating several regression test suites.
- Proficient in testing ServiceNow modules, including CMDB, Incident and Problem Management, Service Request/Catalog, and Change Management.
- Possesses solid knowledge of IT Service Management principles.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance standards and best practices.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and advocacy for quality in product development.
- Hands-on experience with test design, implementation, and maintenance.
- Ability to engage with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver optimal solutions.
- Experience with incremental and iterative delivery methodologies.
- Experience testing ServiceNow platform upgrades and patches is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Expertise in ServiceNow platform and related technologies, with proven experience in quality engineering, test automation, and manual testing.
- Strong understanding of software engineering concepts, quality assurance standards, and best practices, including practical application of Agile, Waterfall, and V Model methodologies.
- Experience testing ServiceNow modules (CMDB, ITSM, HRSD, HAM, VENDOR MANAGEMENT, GRC), platform upgrades/patches, and mobile applications.
- Proficiency with automation tools and frameworks such as ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF), Playwright, and Selenium.
- Demonstrated skills in test design, execution, analysis, and test data management, including deriving test scenarios from business requirements and writing detailed test cases.
- Working knowledge of database technologies (SQL/Oracle) and defect management processes, including the use of test management and defect management tools.
- Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of identifying process improvements and driving efficiency.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage complete testing activities independently and share knowledge with teams.
Technical Skill:
Educational Qualification: BE/B Tech/M Tech/MCA.
Work Experience: 6+ years.
Expertise in ServiceNow platform, with hands-on experience across various modules such as ITSM and HRAD.
Advanced proficiency in automation tools, including ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF), Playwright, and Selenium.
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification required.
Additional certifications, such as ATF Micro Certification, are preferred.
