Tableau Developer - Level 3, ITS DAS DnA
Tableau Developer should manage, analyze, plan, design Tableau environments and Tableau solutions to meet strategic, usability, performance, reliability, control, and security requirements of Analytics reporting processes. Requires demonstrable knowledge in areas of Analytics, Data warehouse and reporting applications. Must be innovative.
Work you will do
This is a unique opportunity to be a part of growing Tableau Analytics and Reporting team that works on a premier analytics platform within Deloitte. You will be responsible for architecture and performance of primarily self-service Tableau environment to support users in the Deloitte US Member Firm.
· Maintain a deep knowledge of Tableau creator capabilities and design for the delivery of specific project requirements.
· Maintain a working knowledge of Tableau Server architecture and the capabilities around the publishing and scheduling of reloads.
· Ability to clearly communicate and update project leadership on-going challenges and deliverables.
· Mentor platform developers to encourage innovation, growth, adoption, and overall excellence.
· Understand customer usage patterns and build relationships with key influencers in the internal Tableau community.
· Work with other specialists and architects to research and understand Tableau capabilities and be prepared to speak to when Tableau is best fit for use case and when not.
· Provide team with guidance and knowledge to drive ownership and ultimately decisions to development/support teams.
· Adept at developing ETL processes that facilitate the creation of data sets in our ecosystem that are used to support analytic discovery.
· Adept at writing T-SQL queries, creating stored procedures and SSIS packages to support data science, analytic and business intelligence initiatives, projects, and requests.
· Adept at creating data visualizations and telling compelling stories with data.
· Assist other members to ensure the work meets quality standards for science-based deliverables.
· Analyze work product progress and provide objective reporting of project status.
· Analyze quantitative and qualitative data, synthesize findings, and convey them through effective writing.
· Facilitate the departmental Customer Satisfaction Survey from deployment to analysis.
· Prepare reports and deliver presentations to inform business leader decision making. (e.g., Client proposal, progress reports, insight reports)
· Serve as a resource for the team who may execute individually assigned tasks.
· Support team activities and project planning.
· Develop and deliver special projects as required.
· Serve organizational role(s) in DAS Data Science Community of Practice as needed.
· Create specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements.

Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Business Information Systems or MCA or equivalent degree.
Qualifications:
· 2 to 5 years Advanced Level of experience in design & creation of Tableau applications and/or administration of Tableau Platforms.
· Advanced level of experience in Tableau, and report/data mart modeling is must.
· Advanced knowledge of Tableau server management is desirable.
· Advanced knowledge of Tableau add-on products for data management and server management is very desirable.
· Experience in Stored Procedures, Triggers, Functions, Creating Tables and Views using SQL is desirable.
· Hands on knowledge and expertise in Tableau competitor products is desirable.
· Strong analytical, problem solving and multi-tasking skills, as well as communication and interpersonal skills, is required.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex business concepts in non-technical terms.
· Knowledge in IT Service Management principles, processes, and methodologies.
· Consultative approach toward clients.
· Proficiency with creating data visualizations in Power BI and Qlik is a plus.
· Advanced MS Excel and Pivot knowledge, MS Word, MS PowerPoint.
· ETL tools (Alteryx, Informatica, etc.) and experience working with unstructured data is a plus.
· Experience in using R/Python to connect to various data sources and munge the data in a format which is usable for downstream analysis is a plus.
