Position Summary

Chief Architect (US Deloitte Technology – Product Engineering)

Role Overview: As the Chief Architect for Deloitte's DT-US Product Engineering, you will be the visionary and driving force behind our technology strategy. You will lead by example, actively engaging in high-visibility projects while mentoring and guiding teams. Your role will encompass research, fit-gap analysis, roadmap creation, and the identification of strategic priorities. You will be a pivotal member of the leadership team, responsible for both strategic and tactical decisions, and accountable for delivering enterprise initiatives.

Responsibilities:

§  Strategic Planning: Transform business goals into actionable strategies and roadmaps to evolve our overall technology blueprint and architecture that delivers incremental business value daily with fully automated, resilient products and platforms.

§  Technical Leadership: Design long-term, resilient/secure technology architectures and steer the technology vision with a focus on AI at core.

§  Team Leadership: Being hands-on and Master of Engineering craft, lead and mentor teams as well as create POVs and whitepapers on emerging technologies. Lead by example and model the way of a true engineer.

§  Research and Innovation: Identify and recommend new technology trends and their impact on Product Engineering. Lead innovation activities and support/evolve enterprise platform capabilities.

§  Thought Leadership: Spearhead engineering strategy initiatives and continuous improvement.

§  Executive Engagement: Collaborate with executives to define/implement transformation strategies.

§  Stakeholder Management: Engage with stakeholders to manage complex projects, drive priorities, and manage expectations in the spirit of co-creation with customers and engineering teams.

§  Vision Advocacy: Advocate and communicate a shared technology vision across the enterprise.

Qualifications and Required Skills:

Educational Background

A bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related discipline. An advanced degree (e.g., MS) is preferred but not required. Experience is the most relevant factor.

Experience

§  15+ years of hands-on software engineering experience at the enterprise level, including start-ups, architecting, designing, coding, deploying and operating products & platforms.

§  2+ years of experience with driving technology vision, strategy, research and roadmap.

§  10+ years of experience with cloud-native engineering, using FaaS/PaaS on multiple cloud hyper-scalers like Azure, AWS, and GCP.

§  5+ years in data engineering and AI/ML with strong exposure to creating GenAI production-grade applications.

Technical Expertise

§  Strong experience in Angular, React, NodeJS. Integration experience with SAP, ServiceNow, Salesforce.

§  Deep experience with Big-data technologies, SQL/NoSQL, Python/R, MS Stack, Mobile, RPA, D&A.

§  Strong experience in DevSecOps driving multiple daily product deployments using full automation from code check-in to production deployment with all quality checks through SDLC lifecycle

§  Strong SRE experience to fully automate operations with smart monitoring, proactive issue detection and seamless recovery

§  In-depth understanding of Agile methodologies, XP, Lean, SAFe, ITSM, GRC, GDPR, SOC2.

Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to handle diverse situations, multiple initiatives, complex projects, and changing priorities, driving the vision with passion, empathy, and care.
