Senior Analyst - ITS Quality Assurance - Deloitte Support Services India Private Limited

The Quality Assurance is a team within Information Technology Services servicing both internal and external facing business units for Deloitte Australia.

Work you’ll do

As a part this team, you will:

• Work as a Senior Analyst in the ITS QA Team and support Deloitte Australia.
• Comprehensive knowledge of functional and non-functional testing.
• Work closely with Functional Testing, Automation Testing, and Application/Engineering teams.
• Design performance test strategy, approach, and success criteria for enterprise applications based on requirements and non-functional needs.
• Prepare workload models and design performance test plans, scenarios, and scripts.
• Execute performance tests (e.g., load, stress, spike, endurance/soak) and manage test cycles/campaigns as required.
• Monitor test execution and environments; identify and analyze performance bottlenecks.
• Perform performance engineering activities and validate performance improvements/fixes.
• Effectively interpret performance test results (metrics, logs, dashboards) and read graphs to derive insights.
• Produce performance test reports with clear findings, risks, and recommendations.
• Communicate progress and issues through regular status reports and appropriate escalation to the Test Lead/Manager.
• Collaborate with business and application teams to improve system performance and reliability.
• Assume primary responsibility as the Performance Testing SPOC (Single Point of Contact) for assigned projects/applications.
• Coordinate with other team members and monitor delivery progress.
• Attend and chair (where required) team and business meetings; present testing outcomes and quality status to senior stakeholders.
• Maintain a flexible approach to work schedule to meet testing cycles, which may involve working outside core hours/days.
• Ensure project deliverables are met and delivered on time for each project and test phase; escalate slippage where appropriate.
• Support additional project testing tasks as assigned by the Test Manager.
• Undertake ad-hoc duties as outlined by the Test Manager.
• Demonstrate the ability to deliver independently without significant senior support/escalation.
• Build rapport with senior stakeholders to broaden and strengthen relationships.
• Drive and contribute to a positive and constructive team culture.
• Share knowledge and implement improvement opportunities from lessons learned.

The Test Management Office (TMO) part of the ITS Quality Assurance team, delivers testing services to ITS and the wider Deloitte business. We are a dedicated team with a core competency in testing, test management, operational processes to support testing, and supporting tools and technologies. Our services include Project Delivery, Test Management and Operations & Governance

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in performance testing/performance engineering for enterprise applications.
• Strong experience in end-to-end performance testing, including requirement analysis, workload modeling, test plan preparation, scripting, execution, monitoring, bottleneck identification, and report generation.
• Competent in creating performance test strategy, performance test plans, and test scenarios.
• Experience managing performance test execution cycles and coordinating deliverables across stakeholders.
• Expert hands-on experience with LoadRunner (v12.5+), including installation/configuration and scripting.
• Strong experience creating/debugging LoadRunner scripts, including manual correlation, parameterization, and decision logic/custom code.
• Strong understanding of web technologies and scripting concepts (Java, Regular Expressions; exposure to C scripting is a plus if applicable to tool usage).
• Experience identifying performance bottlenecks using monitoring tools (e.g., Newrelic, AWS CloudWatch ,Dynatrace).
•Experience with performance testing across multiple protocols (HTTP/HTML, TruClient Protocol, REST, SOAP, database, etc.).
• Detailed knowledge of performance engineering concepts and tuning/fine-tuning collaboration with engineering teams.
• Ability to accurately model application usage and business processes into realistic performance scenarios.
• Experience providing in-depth analysis on the performance of web applications and APIs, including clear recommendations.
• Working knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle), and defect lifecycle processes.
• Experience working alongside BAs (Business Analysts), PMs (Project Managers), and development teams.
• Strong multitasking and time management skills; ability to manage competing priorities within tight timeframes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral, written, and listening).
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work both autonomously and within a team.
• Ability to recognize when to escalate and to the appropriate stakeholders.
• High degree of professionalism and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to operate in a rapidly changing environment; demonstrated flexibility in approach and attitude.

Good to have:

• Automation testing exposure (e.g., Katalon) and ability to collaborate with automation testing teams.
• SQL experience for troubleshooting and data validation.
• Experience working in Agile delivery teams and participating in ceremonies and iterative planning.
• Exposure to integration technologies (web services/APIs) and monitoring tools (application/infrastructure) where applicable.
•Nice to have exposure to generative AI (GenAI) in testing.
