The Recovery & Warrant Senior Analyst supports the Recovery & Warrant Analyst Manager in the efficient and compliant execution of hardware asset end-of-life processes. This includes assisting with the recovery, repair, warranty management, and secure disposal of IT hardware, contributing to value maximization, cost minimization, and adherence to internal policies and external regulations. The role helps ensure the integrity and efficiency of Deloitte's IT asset estate.
This role contributes to the operational efficiency of IT Asset Management (ITAM) by supporting the effective execution of hardware asset end-of-life processes. Its impact is realized through diligent execution of tasks that support cost savings via warranty utilization, assist in asset recovery, and help mitigate risks associated with improper disposal and data breaches. By ensuring compliant and efficient asset retirement activities, this role supports robust asset lifecycle management and contributes to Deloitte's commitment to sustainability and data security.
Work you’ll do
· Assist in the end-to-end process for hardware asset recovery, including collection, initial assessment, and preparation for repair, redeployment, or disposal.
· Support the processing of warranty claims for faulty hardware, ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared and submitted to vendors for timely resolution.
· Coordinate basic hardware repair activities, tracking progress and ensuring assets are returned to service or prepared for disposal.
· Follow established procedures for secure and environmentally compliant hardware asset disposal, adhering to data sanitisation standards and relevant regulations (e.g., WEEE directives).
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all recovered, repaired, and disposed hardware assets within the ITAM tools and Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
· Support the identification of opportunities for value recovery from retired assets through basic research or data collection, in collaboration with the Analyst Manager.
· Collaborate with other HAM team members (e.g., Order Fulfilment, Service Definition & Vendor Governance) to ensure smooth transitions between asset lifecycle stages.
· Assist in preparing documentation and data for internal and external audits related to hardware asset disposal and data security.

Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
· 3+ years’ experience in a similar role and Enterprise organisation.
Essential
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising with internal teams and following up with vendors.
- Basic problem-solving abilities, particularly in following established procedures for hardware issues and warranty claims.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage individual tasks in a structured environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data entry, basic reporting, and communication.
- Proactive approach to learning and executing tasks efficiently.
Strong ethical conduct and understanding of data security and environmental responsibilities.
Desirable
- ITIL Foundation, Service Operations
- Some experience in an IT support or asset management-related role, with exposure to hardware.
- Familiarity with basic hardware asset lifecycle concepts.
- Awareness of warranty processes and vendor service agreements.
- Basic understanding of data sanitisation methods and environmental considerations for IT asset disposal.
- Experience with ITAM tools (e.g., ServiceNow ITAM Pro) and/or CMDBs for data entry and basic queries.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles related to asset movement.
- Familiarity with privacy and data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and sustainable IT asset disposition (ITAD).
