Position Summary

USI NSE Reporting Hub – Assistant Manager

As an experienced and high-performing Assistant Manager in our NSE Centre (NSEC) Reporting Hub, you will play a key role in ensuring the hub’s continued success by delivering an exceptional experience and significant impact to stakeholders through high-quality, timely reporting and insights. Reporting to the Hub Manager, you will independently drive multiple reporting initiatives while managing and developing hub resources, and owning stakeholder engagement end-to-end—from requirement capture through delivery and adoption.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting, Analytics & Data Management

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of executive-level reporting, dashboards, and management information (MI) for NSEC leadership stakeholders.
  • Translate stakeholder needs into clear reporting requirements (KPIs/definitions, logic, refresh cadence, and acceptance criteria) and guide the team to implement them.
  • Oversee data collation, cleaning, validation, and organization primarily in Excel, leveraging multiple internal/external data sources to ensure accuracy, completeness, and relevance.
  • Oversee the build and maintenance of Power BI/Tableau dashboards and Excel-based reporting solutions; ensure solutions remain current, performant, and aligned to company standards.
  • Apply robust testing and quality assurance processes and resolve data/reporting issues through structured troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation (processes, data workflows, SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and best practices) to enable knowledge transfer and audit readiness.

Resource Management & People Leadership

  • Manage and direct hub team resources to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables; allocate work, set priorities, and remove blockers.
  • Coach and develop analysts on reporting best practices, stakeholder management, documentation discipline, and quality standards.
  • Provide regular updates on delivery status, risks, and dependencies; escalate as needed and drive accountability to outcomes.

Programme and Business Support

  • Support assigned business support tasks such as budget tracking and general program management activities, where required by stakeholders.
  • Implement and oversee change management processes, documenting and tracking change requests and approvals in line with agreed governance protocols.
  • Conduct ad-hoc strategic analyses and discrete program management activities as needed by business leaders.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Serve as a key point of contact for stakeholders—proactively managing expectations, priorities, and delivery timelines for hub outputs.
  • Develop executive-level reports and presentations, distilling complex data into meaningful insights tailored to senior stakeholder audiences.
  • Prepare content for, and support, meetings with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective action tracking and summary follow-ups.
  • Oversee shared mailbox operations (as applicable), ensuring timely acknowledgement and response aligned to operational service agreements.

Continuous Learning & Adaptability

  • Drive process improvement by identifying operational gaps, proposing enhancements, and monitoring impact.
  • Keep abreast of NSE strategy and external trends to ensure reporting remains relevant and forward-looking, with input from Executive teams and internal SMEs.
  • Upskill proactively to adopt new tools, technologies, and methodologies in response to evolving organizational needs.

  • Demonstrated ability to guide junior resources on reporting best practices, quality/QA discipline, documentation standards, and stakeholder communication to consistently deliver on timelines and standards.

  • Strong analytical capabilities; comfortable working with data to identify trends, solve problems, and present insights.
  • Proven ability to conduct root-cause analysis and drive service improvement.

Organization & Adaptability

  • Highly organized, with demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to evolving business needs.
  • Flexible approach, able to juggle multiple projects and deliver high-quality results.

Business Acumen

  • Understanding of business drivers and financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present information clearly to senior leadership and adapt messaging to diverse stakeholder audiences.
  • Experience in developing executive-level presentations and summarizing complex topics concisely.

  • Track record of managing multiple priorities, reporting on concurrent workstreams, and thriving in fast-paced environments.
  • Accountability in stakeholder management for hub deliverables, coordinating with team members and ensuring superior produc`t quality and completion within stipulated timelines.
  • Ability to elicit stakeholder requirements and design/implement effective reporting solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to build trust rapidly, apply sound judgement, and act with diplomacy and discretion across diverse stakeholder groups and geographies.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Highly numerate and analytical, with a proactive approach to solving business challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to use initiative and excel under pressure, especially with conflicting and tight deadlines.

Professional Experience

  • At least 7+ years’ demonstrated expertise working with data; skilled in leveraging analytics for business value.
  • Proven track record of applying technology to business challenges and presenting insights to varied audiences.
  • Experience in handling at least 10 complete Power BI or Tableau projects end-to-end.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a positive, solutions-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to elicit client requirements and design/implement effective reporting solutions.
