Position Summary

Location: Hyderabad 

Work Timings: 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM or 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST (8:30 AM to 5:30 PM GMT/BST) 

Role Requirement

  • Hands on experience on Panorama and Palo alto firewalls to configure and troubleshoot issues.
  • In-depth knowledge of firewall NGFW features and protocols such as TCP/IP, VPN, NAT, and IDS/IPS.
  • Experience in operating Cisco LAN technologies and routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, RIP, BGP) in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience in F5 Load Balancing (LTM and GTM)
  • Experience in managing IP networks and supporting infrastructure (DHCP, DNS)
  • IPSEC VPN troubleshooting.
  • Planning for firewall Pan-OS and management upgradation.
  • Knowledge of network architecture and web related protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP/S, DNS, DHCP)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on translating technically complex issues into simple, easy to understand concepts.
  • Willingness to learn additional technologies, not focused on a single technology/application.
  • Proven Service Management (ITIL) experience, specifically incident, problem and change management.
  • Be able to collaborate with clients, identify engagement, follow-on opportunities, and have a strong desire to excel.
  • Ability to work in virtual teams, offering support to team members remotely.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and implement firewalls to protect company networks from unauthorized access.
  • Develop and maintain firewall policies, procedures, and documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve firewall-related issues, including connectivity problems and security incidents.
  • Actively participate and take the lead in firewall related project work involving multiple IT support teams and business functions.
  • Configuring and troubleshooting site to site VPN related issues.
  • Configuring and troubleshooting Force scout issues.
  • Configuring and troubleshooting Wi-Fi connectivity.
  • Analyze and implement new security protocols to improve performance against threats or malfunctions.
  • Monitor firewall logs and alerts to identify potential security breaches and take appropriate action.
  • Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure firewalls are integrated with other security systems and protocols
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address potential weaknesses in the firewall system.
  • Stay up to date on emerging threats and new firewall technologies, and recommend updates and enhancements as needed.
  • Work closely with technology services teams and put-up action plan for firewall OS /patch upgrades, rebuild etc.
  • Follow established change management process to complete all technical changes in the environment.
  • Knowledge of ITIL Service Management framework.
  • Maintain technical support relationships with vendors and engage in troubleshooting calls to identify root causes.
  • Plan and implement continual service improvements across the platforms.
  • Assist with SLAs, KPIs and compliance reporting across the estate.
  • Provide out of hours support as per on-call Rota.
  • Provide guidance and support to other IT staff and end-users on firewall-related issues and best practices.
  • As a senior member of the team guide and mentor other members of the team.

 

Qualifications 

·                Bachelor of Engineering/ Bachelor of Technology 

·                6-8 years’ experience in a similar role and enterprise organisation.

  • Panorama and Palo Alto Firewalls 
  • Checkpoint Firewalls
  • F5 LTM&GTM
  • Cisco Switches and Routers
  • Cisco Wireless Lan Controllers and Access Points

Technical Certifications (Good to have) 

  • ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation 
  • Firewall Certification (PCNSA, PCNSE)
  • CCNA
