Work you'll do:
In the role of Sr Desktop Engineer within the End User Technology team, your primary responsibility will be desktop administration, which encompasses application packaging, maintenance and desktop support. You will leverage existing technologies and platforms to fulfill the agreed scope and service level agreements (SLAs). Your efforts will ensure seamless management and support of end user operating systems, drivers, and applications across various devices, including laptops, MacBooks, iPhones, and printers, all while prioritizing client security, legal, and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Oversee desktop administration tasks within the End User Technology team, ensuring compliance with agreed scope and SLAs.
• Manage application packaging and provide desktop support utilizing existing technologies and platforms.
• Govern and support end user Operating Systems, drivers, and applications across devices including laptops, MacBooks, iPhones, and printers.
• Utilize ITSM tools like ServiceNow for effective incident and change management.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of client operating systems and Office 365, including troubleshooting experience with Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
• Manage and support Remote Desktop Services, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), and Citrix Workspace.
• Conduct vulnerability management on end user devices to ensure security compliance.
• Troubleshoot installation and functionality issues related to SCCM and Intune, and manage application packaging and deployment.
• Create and update Intune policies to enhance device management processes.
• Maintain and support Active Directory, Group Policy, and basic networking principles.
• Utilize basic scripting knowledge in VBScript and PowerShell to automate tasks and improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively interact with end users, stakeholders, and peer teams.
• Apply problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and rectify various technical issues while managing multiple tasks.
• Demonstrate the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and evolving work environments.
• Exhibit understanding of Agile methodology to contribute to project delivery and team collaboration.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
• Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in technical expertise and project management.
• Facilitate team meetings and discussions to ensure open communication and collaboration among team members.
• Support and sponsor team initiatives, providing the necessary resources and leadership to drive successful outcomes.

Your professional experience/Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of IT concepts with 6-9 years of professional experience in desktop engineering and end user support.
• Strong technical skills in SCCM, Intune, and MSI technologies, with proven capabilities in troubleshooting installation and functionality issues, as well as application packaging and deployment.
• Proficient in ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, demonstrating strong skills in incident and change management.
• Comprehensive understanding of client operating systems including Windows 11 and macOS, with strong troubleshooting skills in Office 365 applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams).
• Solid expertise in managing Remote Desktop Services, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), and Citrix Workspace for effective remote support.
• In-depth knowledge of vulnerability management practices on end user devices, ensuring compliance with security policies.
• Advanced knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy management, along with basic networking principles to support user environments.
