Position Summary

Operations Mandate – from an overall ITS perspective, leveraging USI resources is strategically aligning with the Firm’s Alternative Delivery Services model. Along with other professional lines of businesses such as Tax, Advisory, Consulting and Enabling Areas like Marketplace and Business Operations, ITS is building its services and capabilities in USI to conduct operational tasks and responsibilities that allow Canadian onshore teams to focus more on ITS and business priorities. In addition, ITS continues to grow and strengthen its Support Services presence in Hyderabad to provide quality client-facing support for our USI Canada Professionals.

Technology and Infrastructure team manages datacenters, Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, Servers, applications, databases, operating systems, security and patching systems, network, etc. including maintenance, routine operations, Infrastructure-related Event and Incident Management.

Work you'll do

As an Executive Manager – Cloud Managed on the Technology and Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for…

  • Leading a multi-disciplinary cloud delivery and operations team, including cloud engineers, DevOps engineers, application operations engineers, and database teams
  • Owning work intake, assignment, resource planning, utilization, and progress tracking, while serving as the primary liaison for PMO and SMT stakeholders
  • Driving program increment planning and coordinating with Technology and Infrastructure priorities to remove blockers and improve delivery processes
  • Overseeing the design, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, backup, and disaster recovery of Azure cloud infrastructure and legacy and cloud-based applications
  • Managing cloud operations across performance, scalability, cost, security, access controls, network security, and data encryption requirements
  • Leading hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and development planning for team members

The team

USI DT Canada is the Canada CIO’s IT organization, managing an end-to-end portfolio of business applications and technology infrastructure that supports business processes across Deloitte Canada.

The IT & Systems team provides the infrastructure and application support that helps the organization operate effectively. Team members support enterprise applications, technology platforms, research, analysis, and recommendations that enable reliable internal technology services.

The Technology and Infrastructure team manages datacenters, servers, applications, databases, operating systems, security and patching systems, and network services, including maintenance, routine operations, and infrastructure-related event and incident management.

Location: Hyderabad

Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM IST / 2 PM to 11 PM IST

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or Information Systems
  • 14+ years of experience in information technology operations, information security operations, or infrastructure operations
  • 8+ years of experience with Software as a Service, Platform as a Service, and Infrastructure as a Service environments across public, private, or hybrid cloud platforms
  • 5+ years of experience managing cloud-based infrastructure
  • Experience leading engineering or operations teams, including staffing, work assignment, and resource planning
  • 6+ years of experience building and supporting cloud infrastructure and continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines in Microsoft Azure, including Web App and API Management
  • Experience supporting Microsoft SQL Server, Azure DevOps, Git, Docker, or Chef in cloud delivery or operations environments

Preferred:

  • Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-303, or AZ-400
  • Experience with Information Technology Infrastructure Library or Agile delivery methods
  • Experience with software development life cycle or secure software development life cycle processes
  • Experience with GitHub Enterprise
  • Experience supporting customer relationship management or human resources technology platforms
  • Experience preparing weekly or monthly status dashboards and issue trackers for stakeholders
