About the Project Specialist Team:
The Project Specialist Team is a client facing team specializing in Program and Project Management working across technology and business transformation projects. The team collaborates with other practices in the business to achieve successful set up and execution of Projects by leveraging best practices, standards, methods and tools to promote high impact value.
The leadership team is located in Toronto with team members residing across Canada serving clients across various time zones.
As Project Specialist Manager, you will:
Responsibilities include but not limited to the following
- Deliver project management reporting and plans including scheduling, health indicator and resource leveling in MS Project for large projects and programs.
- Should be able to and following up with leads on the assigned proj
- Create and manage project deliverables e.g., status reports, risk metrics, project forecasts analytics and other artifacts as needed.
- Identify and support project team training on Deloitte methods and tools and delivery standards.
- Contribute to the practice by adding value, improving delivery, and sharing best practices for team and practice improvement.
- Lead various internal trainings on Deloitte method and tools
- Support various QRM activities lead by Project Specialist
- Provide recommendations to improve use, adoption and understanding of the method and enabling tools.
- Develop positive professional relationships with engagement team including peer level client personnel on all engagements.
- Demonstrate leadership skills and continuous development.
- Responsible for capacity planning for the identified projects and highlight the skill gap / resource gap
- Have needed discussions with the Onsite Team Leads and come up with the plan for filling the gaps
- Identify the right candidate who best fits the project and allocate him/her to that project
- Responsible for approving the Vacation / WFH for resources and responsible for publishing the back-ups plans
- Responsible for coming up with the allocation reports for the teams and make sure to have the availability utilized properly
- Responsible to arrange the training / support needed to the team members when needed.
- Responsible for guiding the team on technical aspects. Should provide the technology support based on the need or assist the architect.
- Collaborate with the onsite teams and come-up with the Job descriptions
- Responsible to take a final technical call on the candidates while hiring
- Responsible to recognize the good work done from the team at the right time.
- Delivery Manager should be on-boarded with the additional efforts spent (either on weekdays / weekend)
- Responsible to seek inputs from Team Leaders and Group Leaders for team members and ensure to have proper snapshots filled in RPM
- Should keep track of all feedback items on resources which are shared by onsite resources and share the same with respective Team Leaders to reflect the right snapshot for individuals
- Responsible to identify the potential flight of risk candidates and have meaningful discussions to retain the talent
- Responsible to resolve the conflicts within the team.
- Timely communicate Team Leaders and Group Leaders on the new joiners and exits from the team

Qualifications:
- 9 – 11 years’ minimum experience of hands-on project management and implementation experience in a waterfall or agile delivery.
- 4-6 years delivery experience in consulting.
- Project Management Certificate or actively working towards certification. Possessing or working towards PMP, CSM, CSPM, and other Project management related certification.
- Advanced working knowledge of MS Office and MS Project.
- Advanced knowledge of program and project management discipline including risk and quality management practices in waterfall and agile delivery.
- Knowledge of various Agile framework and experience with agile techniques (Facilitating, integrated sprint planning, product backlog refinement, sprint review and retrospective).
- Experience with business transformation and technology enablement project delivery.
- Understanding of technology implementation issues and risk.
- Experience communicating project status at various stakeholder levels.
- Ability to think innovatively and work effectively with all levels of team members.
- Detail-oriented, including ability to identify important details, ensuring items are not overlooked and consistent quality delivery of work, keeping the overall goals of the project in mind.
- Ability to lead projects and manage multiple initiatives and projects
- Proven ability to lead and deliver quality results with multiple time sensitive deadlines.
- Strong leadership, business development, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or related education.
Work Timing: 2 – 11 PM IST or as needed
Location: Hyderabad
