Analyst – Enterprise Platforms - Deloitte Support Services India Private Limited

Operations Mandate – from an overall ITS perspective, leveraging USI resources is strategically aligning with the Firm’s Alternative Delivery Services model.  Along with other professional lines of businesses such as Tax, Advisory, Consulting and Enabling Areas like Marketplace and Business Operations, ITS is building its services and capabilities in USI to conduct operational tasks and responsibilities that allow Canadian onshore teams to focus more on ITS and business priorities.  In addition, ITS continues to grow and strengthen its Support Services presence in Hyderabad to provide quality client-facing support for our USI Canada Professionals.

The Enterprise Operations function of USI DT CA Technology and Infrastructure group is accountable for application support/deployment/implementations, tuning, maintenance & problem solving, working closely with development teams for Enterprise Business Applications etc. This function is responsible for applications across the firm and works closely with other global teams.

Role Specific Responsibilities / Work you’ll do

  • Our team in Hyderabad is seeking an Analyst, in Enterprise Platforms Team.  As an Analyst in the Technology & Infrastructure, Enterprise Operations team, the individual needs to have experience in application support, tuning, maintenance, and problem solving, working closely with development teams, deployment of enterprise business applications.  The Analyst is very hands-on and has day-to-day responsibility of technically supporting the team and advising others on the administration and operations of the tools/software in his field of expertise.
  • The Analyst will participate in maintenance and day-to-day operations of SharePoint, .NET applications, Hadoop, HRMS, CRM, Financial, Reporting, and additional business systems including PeopleSoft, Siebel, Cognos, and several other ERP applications.
  • Exploring ways of improving processes and procedure to support our applications and systems
  • Assisting with implementing technology roadmap in conjunction with business functions, development teams and ITS Architecture team

·       Self-starter who can work through any complex applications and is capable of creating Knowledge and Process documents surrounding applications, support and operations

·       Expert in performing software and server administrative tasks

·       Participates in application performance optimization activities

·       Performs monitoring and control of global production environment

·       Expert Troubleshooter dealing with technical issues relating to configuration, data, and deployments

Work Location: Hyderabad

Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM / 2PM-11PM - as per business requirements

The team

USI DT Canada is the Canada CIO’s IT department which manages an end-to-end portfolio of Canada business applications and technology infrastructure that supports business processes common to Deloitte Canada member firm.

Our IT & Systems team works behind the scenes and is essential to the Deloitte organization. Our forward-thinking team members have the analytical skills needed to parse mountains of data and stellar communications skills needed to present research, discovery, and recommendations in a logical and easily understandable way. Our technologists provide IT infrastructure support to develop custom enterprise applications.

In addition, Technology and Infrastructure team manages datacenters, servers, applications, databases, operating systems, security and patching systems, network, etc including maintenance, routine operations, Infrastructure-related Event and Incident Management.

Qualifications:

Essential

  • A Computer Science University degree and/or equivalent work experience
  • A strong commitment to professional client service excellence
  • Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams
  • Good verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent Analytical Skill

Technical Skills & Qualifications:

·       1-3 years’ experience in a similar role with an Enterprise organisation.

  • Provide 3rd line support for SharePoint services, operating under a best practice, ITIL framework
  • Respond to service outages which affect Deloitte’s business operation and reputation, including out of hours escalations as part of a 24 x 7 on-call rota
  • Ability to solve problems, quickly and completely and to communicate them clearly to peers, customers, and management
  • Work with change management, developers, project teams, business teams and vendors to provide guidance and assist in the deployment of SharePoint platform updates and applications and site development
  • Assist in defining SharePoint technical standards
  • Provide input into evaluation, design, and integration of new technologies into SharePoint platforms
  • Maintain the performance, availability, and security of SharePoint services, with a focus on continuous service improvement
  • Assist in maintaining documentation, technology compliance standards and landing space policy
  • Document disaster recover procedures and perform regular tests
  • Contributes to and is consulted during infrastructure architectural activities by applying select architectural techniques and technical knowledge. Understands and leverages infrastructure architectural principles for cross-functional purposes. Works with vendors as well as internally.
  • Demonstrates expertise of IT governance concepts. Understands and able to manage the relationships of all OIM relevant stakeholders. Understand the portfolio and the business drivers of the various components. Supports the execution of the primary goals of IT Governance.
  • Knowledge of performance testing process and methodology for different types of software projects. Knowledge of standard performance testing processes and techniques. Strong ability to understand business requirements. Provides strong analysis of performance testing results.

·       All round experience of infrastructure aspects (servers, networks, databases, load balancers, SharePoint, SharePoint online, VSTS, ADFS, AD etc)
