We are looking for a skilled SQL Database Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server environments across development, test, and production landscapes, including Azure PaaS and IaaS deployments. The role requires strong expertise in database administration, performance tuning, high availability, backup and recovery, incident management, release support, and production troubleshooting. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, supporting business-critical applications, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure stable and secure database operations.

Work you'll do

As a SQL DBA Analyst on the T&L DBA team, you will be responsible for…

  • Administering and supporting Microsoft SQL Server databases across development, test, and production environments, including Azure Platform as a Service and Infrastructure as a Service deployments
  • Configuring, monitoring, and maintaining database servers, instances, backup and recovery processes, and disaster recovery capabilities to support performance, availability, scalability, and security
  • Implementing and supporting high availability and disaster recovery solutions, including Always On Availability Groups, SQL Server clustering, and failover configurations
  • Analyzing and resolving production incidents, performing root cause analysis, and tuning database performance through query optimization, index management, and execution plan review
  • Supporting database releases, schema changes, upgrades, and migrations while partnering with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to maintain stable environments
  • Creating and maintaining runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and operational documentation, and participating in after-hours production support as needed

Location: Hyderabad

Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology
  • 2 to 4 years of experience administering Microsoft SQL Server in enterprise environments
  • Experience supporting SQL Server across development, quality assurance, staging, and production environments
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure SQL, SQL Server on Azure Virtual Machines, and Azure DevOps
  • Experience implementing or supporting high availability and disaster recovery solutions, including Always On Availability Groups and failover clustering
  • Experience with backup, restore, recovery models, and Recovery Services Vault management
  • Experience with SQL performance tuning, incident management, production support, and database release activities

Preferred:

  • Experience with Azure Data Factory and Databricks
  • Experience migrating SQL Server across versions or between on-premises and Azure environments
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Log Analytics and Application Insights
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation
  • Experience with database security hardening, auditing, and access management
  • Experience supporting ETL or data platform workloads integrated with SQL environments
