The Team
Within NVTI, the Strategy & Operations team partners closely with senior leaders across the US Green Dot to manage the investment platform, create portfolio insights, and drive financial planning and forecasting across projects, investments, and the broader group.
Work You’ll Do
As a Manager on the NVTI team in the US India (USI), you will drive significant value by supporting and guiding leadership on the health and impact of investments across the Firm.
A successful candidate will have experience with financial analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI), critical thinking skills to generate insights/trends for the portfolio, interpersonal skills to manage relationships across many investment hubs, and organizational skills to structure cost centers/projects.
Your key responsibilities will include
- Lead and own budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Manage budgeting and forecasting calculations/processes
- Report financial performance data/analysis and identify key business insights
- Coordinate with various investment teams across the Firm on use cases, allocations, and progress
- Manage project financial controls (establish budget, track budget, actuals vs forecast)
- Manage and enhance the investment process and tools
- Perform periodic and ad hoc financial analysis and produce deliverables for leadership
- Set up, tracking, and closing work breakdown structures (WBS)
- Own the invoicing and journal entry management process
- Prepare standard and ad-hoc Management Information System reports for leadership and Firm finance
- Create and maintain process documentation and presentations
- Manage distribution lists of the broader group and sub-groups within
- Develop and maintain mailboxes, team org charts, and contact lists
- Manage, mentor, and develop team members, ensuring delivery excellence and stakeholder confidence
Qualifications Required:
- MBA/PGDM/Master’s degree from a reputed school in a relevant field
- 10+ years of experience in a financial analysis role, managing portfolios/cost centers
- Strong skills in Excel, finance/accounting principles, and capitalization concepts, and knowledge of ERP systems/visualization tools
- Good computing, analytical (e.g., Excel), data visualization (e.g., Power BI), and problem-solving skills
- Ability to create and deliver communication to senior leaders / summarize results
- Demonstrated record of applying critical thinking, identifying financial trends, and scenario planning
- Outstanding analytical and presentation skills - strong with translating financials into PowerPoint reports
- Proactive, results-oriented, and collegial team player who can work independently and with others
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to lead and facilitate calls and meetings
- Outstanding attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
- Exposure to working in virtual teams and experience working with US clients. Since the job requires significant coordination with US colleagues, the ability to network with US counterparts is important, alongside awareness of US technology-market dynamics and regulatory considerations
Preferred:
- Strong project management and organization skills, ability to manage/execute multiple strategic initiatives
- Financial strategy skills, including quantitative modeling
- Passion for technology, Gen AI, Cloud, emerging technologies
- Self-starter and ability to work independently with limited direction with a multi-disciplinary team and manage teams/work threads
