Position Summary
Are you passionate about storytelling, thriving in a collaborative environment, and want to make a difference? As a communications professional supporting the Sports Strategic Growth Market (SGM) team, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting change management and internal communications that help convert Deloitte’s Sports platform—especially LA28 (Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games) and related sponsorship/market activity (e.g., McLaren Racing, Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA), U.S. Open, United States Golf Association (USGA), U.S. Soccer, National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL))—into clear internal narratives, practical enablement, and repeatable operating rhythms that mobilize stakeholders and drive pipeline, pursuits, and wins.
The ideal candidate for this role will help connect the dots across a complex, matrixed environment—supporting Sports leadership, commercialization, sponsorship activation, ecosystem/alliance teams, and offering/portfolio stakeholders—to improve readiness for market moments and increase adoption of new ways of working and ensure measurable outcomes.
Work you'll do
Support change management for Sports SGM commercialization
- Support delivery of change initiatives tied to the evolving Sports SGM commercialization model (e.g., new ways of working, activation workflows, measurement expectations, stakeholder engagement cadence).
- Assist with stakeholder analysis (who is impacted, what they need, preferred channels) and change impact assessments (process/tool/behavior changes).
- Help maintain a simple change plan and backlog (communications, enablement, training, reinforcement), tracking dependencies, risks, and decisions.
Execute the Sports SGM internal communications strategy
- Draft and refine internal communications for cross-firm audiences: leader updates, newsletters/blurbs, intranet copy, Teams posts, “market moment” briefs, and ready-to-forward messages for account teams.
- Create and maintain enablement assets: FAQs, quick reference guides, talk tracks, checklists, readiness briefs, stakeholder maps, and post-event follow-up kits.
- Translate “what’s happening” into clear actions: what is changing, what to do next, who owns it, and when.
Support major event/activation communications
- Help plan and execute communications for major activations (pre/during/post), including run-of-show comms, audience targeting, and post-market action prompts.
- Coordinate capture of lessons learned and support lightweight retrospectives; turn insights into updated toolkits and improved workflows.
Coordinate governance, approvals, and version control
- Track reviews/approvals with brand, sponsorship, ecosystem/alliance, and other stakeholders so content is accurate, timely, and compliant.
- Maintain version control and an organized repository of approved materials (e.g., SharePoint).
Measure effectiveness and report insights
- Pull and summarize communications performance metrics (reach/engagement where available) and adoption signals (toolkit usage, office hours participation, stakeholder feedback).
- Draft concise readouts for leadership and recommend improvements to content, cadence, and channels.
