 Workstation Services (WS) Manager/Executive Manager, Windows Endpoint Administration

This Manager/Executive Manager will lead and participate in the architecture and engineering efforts for end-user platform solutions for the Deloitte US firms. They will ensure the delivery of these solutions with minimal impact on end-users and further support our goal of technology eminence.

Work Location: Hyderabad

In this role, you will:

                      • Deliver an optimized productivity platform and exceptional digital experience (Desktop/laptop hardware configuration, OS platform upgrades, productivity software & hardware solutions, end-user management, client software deployment & imaging design and engineering.)

                      • Be responsible for delivering a highly optimized, stable and productive workstation experience.

                      • Understand the business environment, customer needs and anticipate future technological demands.

                      • You will also manage vendor relationships to troubleshoot issues and provide support and service to end users.

                      • Protect the desktop environment by evaluating and determining how to react to security alerts, vulnerabilities, and industry risks.

                      • Leverage advanced workstation analytics, develop proactive solutions, and ensure comprehensive compliance using multiple enablement systems and tools.

                      • Enforce service levels and service offerings for end-user computing, including technology platforms, distribution, and deployment. You will approve and enforce processes and procedures for end user software technology platforms, distribution, and deployment.

                      • Provide Endpoint solutions to meet client/business requirements, coordinate testing, and production deployment of solutions.

Required Skills

                      WMI (Windows Management Instrumentation) Deep understanding of WMI, able to independently develop & implement WMI scripts and queries to monitor and manage Windows systems. Troubleshoot and resolve WMI-related issues to ensure system stability and performance. Utilize WMI to gather system information and create detailed reports.

                      CBS (Component Based Servicing) - Deep understanding of Windows Component Based Servicing (CBS) technology. Troubleshoot and resolve CBS-related issues, including Windows Update and installation problems. Familiarity with system imaging tools like DISM.

                      PowerShell - Develop, test, and deploy PowerShell scripts to automate routine tasks and system configurations. In-depth knowledge of PowerShell syntax, cmdlets, and best practices. In-depth knowledge on windows cmdlets and querying.

                      Support Microsoft Modern Management platforms which include Intune, SCCM, Cloud Management Gateway, Windows Autopilot, Co-management etc.

                      Support Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager infrastructure and support components.

                      Create Deployments/Collections/Applications within a Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager environment.

                      Download and deploy Monthly MS Security Updates with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.

                      Advanced queries for Configuration Manager Database to support.

                      Provide 3rd level support for desktop support technicians.

                      Aligns risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately.

                      Good experience in Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.

                      Windows OS Platform management and support experience.

                      Strong technical proficiency of architecture and supporting components of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager in an enterprise environment.

                      Advanced knowledge of server and client maintenance, troubleshooting, SQL query writing, SUP and application deployments.

                      Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager OSD (Operating System Deployment) technical experience is preferred.

                      Windows 11 technical support experience with advanced knowledge of the Windows registry, file and folder security, local/domain user security, and operating system troubleshooting.

Qualifications

                      Bachelor’s/master’s in computer science with 10-12 years of experience in a technical IT role with 7-9 years of relevant experience

                      Advance PowerShell & SQL query writing is must.

                      Experience in Nexthink is required.

                      Strong Business Acumen (ability to articulate how a particular architectural solution aligns with business goals)

                      Hands-on experience of creating reports, dashboards using tools like Power BI etc will be an added advantage.

                      Proven track record of leading a team of technical SMEs and projects.

                      Ability to provide strategic guidance to juniors on projects & deliverables.

                      Responsible for performance management for the team.

                      Excellent written and verbal English skills to clearly & confidently articulate information to stakeholders.

                      Mastery in process engineering, technical documentation [Configuration, Process flows, Knowledge Management] & presentation skills.

                      Hands-on experience with ticketing tools like ServiceNow is a must

                      Ability to both work independently and with a team

                      Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects in parallel

                      Strong collaboration skills to work with multiple team members towards development objectives

                      Demonstrate competencies based upon prior projects, sharing methodology and frameworks used

                      Strong problem-solving skills with limited oversight

Basic understanding of below Technologies is desirable

                      Knowledge of Power tools • Data Science / Analytics using a multitude of data sources

                      Agile & Scrum Methodology • Networking knowledge, including LANs, WANs, Routers, VLANs, VPNs, Wi-Fi.

                      Desktop/laptop hardware configurations
