Assistant Manager SAP Basis - Deloitte Support Services India Private Limited

Work you’ll do.

As a CL 4 professional at Assistant Manager or Deputy Manager in SAP Basis, this role provides senior-level SAP Basis leadership for Deloitte’s enterprise SAP landscape. The position is responsible for end-to-end administration and technical operations of SAP S/4HANA systems (including RISE with SAP), SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), and GCP-hosted environments—covering installations/upgrades, system copies/refreshes, patching, transport management, performance tuning, monitoring, and high availability/disaster recovery. The role partners with architecture, security, infrastructure, and SAP ECS to manage access and connectivity, certificates and encryption, OS/DB and cloud integration, incident/problem/change management, and roadmap-driven lifecycle planning to keep mission-critical operations stable while advancing cloud transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

         Own SAP S/4HANA Basis administration across on-prem/cloud, including RISE with SAP and GCP-hosted landscapes.

         Ensure platform stability and availability through proactive monitoring, alerting, and incident triage/root-cause analysis.

         Lead system lifecycle activities installs, upgrades, patching, kernel updates, and maintenance windows.

         Manage transports and landscape movement (STMS), including cutover planning and production releases.

         Execute system copies/refreshes, client administration, and environment provisioning (DEV/QA/PRD).

         Drive performance and capacity management: tuning, workload analysis, and scaling recommendations.

         Implement and test HA/DR, backup/restore, and recovery procedures to meet RTO/RPO targets.

         Coordinate cross-team delivery with architecture, security, infrastructure, and SAP ECS for connectivity, certificates, access controls, and cloud integration.

Required Technical Skills:

    6–9 years of SAP Basis administration experience.

    SAP operations on GCP and Azure (backup, DR, BCP/BCM).

    SAP Web Dispatcher configuration and administration.

    Hands-on exposure to SAP BTP, SAP BDC, and Databricks (next-gen integrations).

    SAP HANA administration, monitoring, and database management.

    SAP ECC (ERP) and SAP NetWeaver administration (ABAP/JAVA stacks).

    SAP SLT (System Landscape Transformation) configuration and operations.

    SAP Fiori administration and troubleshooting.

    SAP Solution Manager administration (monitoring, maintenance, ChaRM basics).

    SAP PI/PO (Process Integration) administration and interface support.

    Administration of additional SAP platforms (BW/BI, BIA, NWDI, BOBJ, iXOS/OpenText, OneSource, BSI).

    Oracle database administration in SAP landscapes.

    Performance monitoring and troubleshooting across SAP application and database layers.

    Database backup/recovery strategy design and execution.

    System upgrades and maintenance (SP-level, EHP/full-stack, add-on upgrades/patching).

    On-prem to GCP migration support and cutover readiness.

   System refreshes/copies and related post-refresh validation activities.

Education:

·       Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

·       6-9 years of experience in SAP Basis.

·       Proven experience in leading and managing SAP Basis projects.

·       Strong leadership and team management skills.

·       Relevant SAP certifications (preferred).

Location: Hyderabad 

Shift Timing: Shift between 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM IST.
