Manager/Executive Manager – USI Offshore Delivery Center Solution Architect

The role of the USI Offshore Delivery Center (ODC) Solution Architect is to provide  
leadership towards design and expansion solutions for USI based Offshore Delivery Centres.  
ODCs are secure spaces of work, which help connect professionals based in US India offices  
to client premises on secure networks with client specified security controls.  
The role will provide oversight to demand shaping along with ODC Account Management  
team, be an overall solutioning architect for ODCs across technology teams, derive  
interdependencies with enabling areas and have a vision for ODCs designing at enterprise  
level. The architect will represent ODC solution to Clients, manage design and solution 
interactions across technology teams, participate in audits, and plan roadmap for service  
offering enhancements, as part of the larger USI Technology and Infrastructure 
organization. 
The USI Technology & Infrastructure (T&I) teams is a 200+ member team that provides  
support to Deloitte’s businesses on various technologies & tools as an Enabling Areas function.  
The US-India T&I teams consist of highly skilled technical groups that provide service and  
support in areas like Network and Telecom, Audio Visual Hybrid Technology solutions, Cloud  
Managed Services, and Communication and Collaboration services among other technology  
needs of the firm. The group provides the business with core world class technology  
infrastructure enabling them to collaborate, develop and design solutions for clients. 
The person will report directly to the Deloitte USI T&I ODC Delivery leader, and will work  
closely with the USI business leaders and various enabling area leaders to execute critical  
Offshore Delivery Center service delivery and efficiencies across US India offices. 
Responsibilities  
• In this role, the leader will work with the technology service delivery leader and  
contribute to the strategic direction and vision to the ODC service offering. Owning the  
coordination and delivery of technical input to proposals, RFP responses and bids. 
• The leader will be responsible for aligning with Business, Cyber, Account Manager,  
SMEs on initial high level feasibility study and review inputs from MSA/SOW, represent  
Deloitte in technical discussions and white board sessions in client meetings that may  
include participation from business, Deloitte SMEs, Cyber and Client IT teams on 
detailed requirement gathering and overall solution designing. 
• Sign-off on the final proposed solution with customer. Revise the solution based on  
customer feedback. 
• Oversee solution implementation, work with engineering team to define best practices  
and processes as appropriate to support the entire ODC lifecycle – Plan, Build, Deploy,  
and Operate. Provide quality assurance for solutions developed by technology teams. 
• Create necessary project documentation and transfer operation manuals. Review 
project documents / signoff for project closure.  
• Drive existing teams, train, and nurture high level support teams to enable continuous  
IT improvement in the domain including transformation of services, and maturing  
services and scaling 
• Demonstrate understanding of Compliance, Automation and Analytics, including  
developing dashboards (Power BI & Tableau), defining of KPIs, managing stakeholders  
etc. 
• Provide architectural guidance and recommend infrastructure solutions for recurring  
and/or ongoing production incidents affecting Business. 
• Capacity planning of ODC infrastructure needs. 
• Work closely with the internal operations team and hardware suppliers for solutioning  
and streamlined deliveries 
• Meets regularly with Business stakeholders, work with the ODC Account Management  
team to address business needs and manage expectations, Architect new ODC  
solutions or re-architect existing solutions. 
Skills / Experience  
Business Skills:  
§ 10 to 15+ years of Information Technology management experience with 10+  
years in a technology leadership and functional lead roles. Additional expertise in  
Financial Management, Lease & Asset Management, IT audit, IT compliance &  
regulatory experience (among others) is preferred. 
§ Competitive edge and good understanding of the IT infrastructure services and  
technologies. Must have grown his/her career with one or more of the IT  
Infrastructure technology domains such as Network or Cloud or Data Center  
technologies etc. Relevant technical certifications are an added advantage  
§ Strong understanding of enterprise-level (IT infrastructure) technology  
management concepts, principles, and practices. 
§ Proven ability to establish and implement an IT Service Management strategy, IT  
Governance strategy, IT Operations in a large global organization  
§ A proven background in recruiting, leading & nurturing global IT Infrastructure  
teams 
§ Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities of complex IT trouble-shooting  
issues  
§ Must be able to measure and analyze productivity and effectiveness across all areas  
of Technology service delivery. 
Leadership Skills:  
§ The candidate must be a proven self-starter, able to exercise independent  
thinking, be able to successfully juggle multiple initiatives and priorities, be  
comfortable with aggressive deliverable timelines, working in a fast-paced  
environment and working up, down and across the organization.  
§ Proven track record of managing large global teams through people in complex  
environments and challenging issues  
§ In-depth understanding of performance management, organization structure and  
culture  
§ Demonstrable leadership skills in a team setting where team members are not  
direct reports and spread across multiple geographies  
§ Ability to make an immediate impact in a fast-paced environment with multiple  
and changing priorities  
§ Proven ability to drive change through collaboration and influence  
§ Communication Skills: 
§ Ability to shape the culture of the organization in a positive direction  
§ Strong negotiation and consensus building skills are required  
§ Excellent presentation skills especially to Executive audiences  
§ Strong interpersonal skills; Must be a Leader of People, Technology and Processes  
§ Ability to comfortably interact & communicate with all levels of the organization  
§ Impeccable managerial skills enabling him/her to collaborate and be influential  
at all levels combined with being comfortable providing strategic and tactical  
advice to executive staff
